Soda question on DDP

I did the plan before but it was our first trip and I honestly can't remember what the deal is on refills.
I know the plan states one beverage but don't some places offer free refills.
I am giving a list of the places we are eating and if you could be so kind as to tell me if any of them do indeed offer free refill I would be very greatful.
My son always finishes his drink before the food is even served.:sad2:

Coral Reef?
Ohona?
Chef Mickeys?
Captain Jacks?
Shutters? How is that by the way, we are staying at Caribbean Beach so I thought we would try this one night that we are relaxing at the resort being the parks close little early while we are there last week of September.
Thanks everyone.

Soda refills are free. My experience is that refills on specialty drinks that some restaurants permit on the DDP (e.g., smoothies) are not free.

That has been our experience as well. Love the chocolate raspberry shake at Le Cellier, but do not get refills. Think that is fair. Don't think any of the TS we have gone to have not offered refills on soda.

No free refills for counter service. But you should get them for TS unless they are a specialty drink.

While all the food at Disney was excellent on our trip in June, the fountain drinks just didn't taste quite right anywhere. I'm guessing it's the local water. Though not a big fan, I found the orange to be the best.:thumbsup2 We also found we could get bottled juice or waters on the DDP, the same as fountain drinks.

Shutters is the one TS that we vowed we would not return to after our meal there in August, 2006. DH's steak tasted like liver and the other entrees were nothing to write home about. Not terrible, but there are too many good restaurants at WDW for us to even consider returning to one we had a sub-par experience at. Have a great trip!

Help his health, only let him drink water before the meal arrives. Than he can have as much soda with dinner as he wants. It is so hot, we often don't realize how "thirsty" our bodies get and soda just won't do for that.

Personally, I drink too much soda and usually get water when I dine out. Given that I'm a limited Coke product fan on the DDP, I will probably get the drink with my meals(likely lemonade) and drink water at other times. Hopefully I can continue to drink more water when I get home!

One tip we found out late in our vacation. When ordering at counter service locations, you must request a large coke if that is what you want. Otherwise they will give you a small coke. It doesn't cost you any more to order the larger drink, but they don't give you that option unless you ask.

I read on these boards that they are now offering free refills with self serve locations at some of the counter service places like Sunshine Seasons in Epcot. Also, don't forget the refillable mugs at your resort - for $11.99, you can have unlimited refills of sodas, coffee, Icees, etc. for your entire stay (from the food court at your resort).
