Soda options at resorts?

That Light Minute Maid Lemonade (pomegranate flavored or otherwise) never made any sense to me. It's got high-fructose corn syrup, so - no good for diabetics or the health-conscious or people otherwise avoiding corn syrup. But it ALSO has artificial sweetener in it (aspartame - which is the same ingredient as Sweet n Low, if I remember correctly). So, no good for people who avoid artificial sweeteners. Basically, it's the worst of both worlds... I'm always wishing that Disney had REAL lemonade available. :)

It doesn't appear to have high fructose corn syrup in it- http://www.myfitnesspal.com/food/calories/minute-maid-light-pomegranate-lemonade-88346736
It has artificial sweetener like diet coke etc.
Coming from UK, it is always amazing to see how much fizzy sugary soda is drunk in the US. Yes we have it in the UK too where it is drunk by the gallon, but the US puts us to shame on the per capita quota for soda. It is also the main driver of the obesity epidemic in both countries. In UK in particular we have sugar free cordial drinks which you mix with water, but options are limited in US. It's now recognised that sugar is the main killer in our diet. Yes there are lots of studies suggesting artificial sweeteners are not great (mainly because people then go on to get their sugar fix elsewhere, their appetite being whetted) but 5 calories compared to hundreds of calories and spoonfuls of sugar contributing to obesity and diabetes is a good thing. My family and I like to stay healthy and a good weight and pouring sugary pop down your throat constantly is not a good way to achieve this. The advice is now also not to drink too much fruit juice as it's simply loaded with sugar also. Drinking sugary sodas and fruit juices in large quantities over a period will make you obese and probably diabetic.

The "light lemonade" contains high fructose corn syrup and two artificial sweeteners. Blaming 'regular' soda for the obesity epidemic is an oversimplification and best left for discussion some place other than a thread where someone is asking what kind of soda is available for refillable mugs.

Thanks for your input. The light pomegranate lemonade says on it 3% juice and 5 calories per serving. 5 calories per serving is non existent in terms of sugar so if it has HFCS in it, it is in miniscule amounts.
If you'd take the time to read the previous posts, you'd see I did exactly what you demand- someone asked what was available and I pointed out this one was and I thought it was great. Then we get people replying saying it's terrible, full of HFCS and sweetners and people are much better off with sugary pop. It's 5 calories a serving. I was pointing that out. And yes, drinking lots of sugary pops contributes significantly to obesity.
