Soda Addiction

I'm truly addicted to Diet Coke. I drink it in scary quantities. Last time we were at the DLR, we used the refillable mugs at the GCH. It was okay, since we stayed at the PPH. I hear now that they've discontinued the mugs throughout the resort. I don't know what I'll do. Can you back cans or bottles in luggage for the airlines? Would airpressure changes cause them to pop? Can I get some groceries delivered to the hotel (PPH)? I had heard they were going to start charging for deliveries. Have they started that yet? If I have to buy my diet coke's one at a time, that will be the end of my spending money.

I know the obvious answer here is to not drink Diet Coke.........but I love it.

Are you going to have a car once you arrive at DLR? There's a Target down the street on Harbor Blvd. Or you can get it delivered. I don't believe the PPH charges, only the stores charge you for delivery.

Bring bottles or cans into the park. I think bottles would be best though. I agree you'd be broke if you bought all your Diet Coke at the park.

My Dh has a serious addiction to Diet Mt. Dew. We buy cases of it when we get into Anaheim.

We bring a cooler filled with ice and Diet Mt. Dew into the park in order to get Dh through the day We went through several before we discovered the best kind at Target. It's soft sided and blue, but has a hard, removable plastic insert that keeps melting ice from leaking.

I would not check the sodas. Even if you have to pay for delivery, the cost would not be too much compared to buying a single soda each and every time.

Here is your options as I see it:

find some sweet neurovariant disboarder or other person to deliver your soda.

Take a cab and go to a local grocery store to get your soda pop.

Have Albertson's or Von's deliver to your room.

Ship to your hotel a couple cases of soda pop. Expensive but an option.


I could probably pick up some cases for you and deliver them at cost of the soda and no delivery fees. I always am looking for a reason to visit parks.

And don't be ashamed of your Diet Coke addiction. I'm also an addict and I have no problems with it. There are junkies who drop $10 a day at Starbucks and they're considered connoisseurs of fine coffee, but they are addicts, just like us.

I would definitely carry it into the park in half liter bottles. Consider investing in a backpack that is actually a cooler, and throw in some blue ice.

Perhaps you can drink water while you are in the parks. I was looking at a souvenir cart in Fantasyland and saw a bottle holder with a clip. The bottle holder was black rubber in the shape of a Mickey Head and the clip looked like one used in rock climbing, and had "Disneyland" etched into the metal. While it cost $6.50, think of the value after you refill a Diet Coke bottle with water multiple times. What do those bottled sodas cost in the park? $2.50 or more? It will more than pay for itself. But then again, water doesn't taste anything like a nice refreshing ice cold Diet Coke.

How about diet coke syrup, you would have to drink less and get the same buzz off of it...

Actually its as addicting ( caffeine ) or you would not need it so badly, also it pits the bones ( phosphoric acid which leaches calcium from your bones) and it rots the teeth.causes weight gain, causes insulin spikes. yep, its a drink that one should be careful with

I'm an addict, and we're having pop/juice/water delivered through Vons. I must have my diet cola, and I'm guessing McDonalds across from DL probably doesn't have $1 large drinks the way they do here. I stop and get one almost every morning...
