Socks recommendations

I looked on the tag and the socks I bought are called dress socks. So, Bicker, be sure that is the type of Gold Toe socks you get, and I don't think that you will have any trouble keeping them up.

Thanks, but I don't like any of the styles they offer for their dress socks.

PinballFamily: Do you happen to recall how much the Noordstrom socks cost?

Yes, because they're so attractive. :rotfl:

I've already got a solution: Smartwool Adrenalines. In the OP, I'm just asking if there are any socks that are as good, but not $16 a pair. It makes sense that the answer is probably 'no'. Not a big deal.

I never knew anyone put so much thought into socks.

For me it is the toe part. I hate that seam hitting across my little toe so I, too, search for perfect socks. For now it's the ones with bamboo. They are soft sweatery feeling, but not thick. They have a thicker bottom than top so they are cushiony but are knit that way so while you feel the cushion, there's no seam around it. The toe seam sort of blends into the rest of the toe so it feels good. And they stay up; even the individual sock my retriever "retrieved" from the laundry pile for me, which she chewed the opening of. It still stays up. Don't know the brand but the label says something about bamboo and a thicker pad. I got them from Fred Meyer store.

Do you really think it takes that much thought to post these messages? :lmao:

It's not like we're discussing popcorn oil, or reclining airline seats, here. :rotfl:

Yeah, it's pretty weird and isn't the OP like in his 50s? You'd think this would have come up a few decades ago. :lmao:
It did, and I had (really: have) a solution. However, as I get older, I am concerned more and more about wasting money, seeing how hard it is going to be to fund a comfortable retirement. $16 per pair of socks seems much more expensive now than it was ten or fifteen years ago. (Of course, I was earning a lot more money back then. I suppose that has a lot to do with it too.)
