They are sites where you can put all your favorite websites. That way you can access them from any computer. SOme of them allow you to share them with others and comment on them. For instance if I added www.disboards.com I would tag it with disney, planning, and so on. Others can find it plus any sites with those tags would be organized together. Does that make sense?

I use Google Reader for social bookmarking. It lets me make snide comments in reply )) and automatically publishes the links and comments to Facebook.
