Long Island Junior Soccer League, The governing body of Travel Soccer on Long Island has the rule that Shin Guard must not be exposed, thus covered by the Sock. I would make sure that the Team Uniform about $ 150.00 has socks that are long enough to cover the shin gaurd if pulled over, if not than Shin Guard first and then Sock. I have found that the Kevlar ( Bullet Proof Vest Material works the best. I recomend the one peice that slips on under the foot, as this secures the protective piece that covers the ankle also they are quite light weight.
You might want to check with the profesional $ 200.00 per season trainer (remember there is a spring and fall season) that your team will have, or see if they can be used during the $ 200.00 Winter season, or the $ 200.00 Trainers Summer Camp. Also check to make sure your local club is not thinking about changing travel uniforms with the friendly kick back Team Uniform Supply Company.
Sorry for the Editorial, But to play travel soccer on Long Island these days, after the $ 100.00 regestration fee you are looking at about $ 1,000 investment to keep up with the other teams.
Yours Trully
