Are the SoCal fires effecting anything in the DLR area?

CNN is reporting but I can't follow their aerial views of the fires.
They state the fires are north of the LA area.
Sounds like the Santa Ana winds are fanning the flames pretty severely.

Wondering how the air quality is at the parks?

Yesterday I could smell a little smoke when I was in the parking structure but I couldn't see any smoke in the air. I think the smell was being carried far by the winds. Once inside the park I couldn't smell any smoke. Not sure if that has changed today as there was a bigger fire burning closer to Anaheim (near the Getty Center in LA).

I was there when they had the fire very close to the park back in mid-October. Even then it wasn't too bad, it just turned the sky a very apocalyptic color.

Prayers for all of you who are close to the current fires. Those Santa Anas are horrid.

In the parks today, this morning the smell of smoke was very, very strong! It was like sitting next to a campfire, and my eyes and lungs were stinging a bit. But as the morning goes on, the smell is fading a bit... either that or I am getting used to it.

I'm not exactly sure what's going on with the LA fires but Beyoncé is at my local Target right now with her family buying baby stuff, apparently she had to evacuate her home.

At DCA today.....didn't notice any smell of smoke and I am very sensitive to it.
The skies are hazy....but that may be normal ;) Still very windy

The major fires (unless a new one started today) are well north and northwest of Anaheim. But you could be smelling smoke from other structure fires. I believe there were a few reported in that area this morning (Anaheim and Santa Ana, I think) but I think those were put out before they spread.

I live in Ventura and the fires have been very hard on all of us in terms of both devastation in the city and air quality. Thankfully my neighborhood was unscathed.

Anyways, the smoke just depends on the wind direction I think, so it may vary day to day. Yesterday was tolerable here, considering the situation, but today has been difficult in terms of smoke smell. It just depends. Red flag warning should end on Sunday, though. Crossing my fingers.

1. :scared1:
2. Beyoncé shops at Target? She is MORE awesome than I thought, which I didn't think was possible before right now.

They’re showing this on TMZ right now lol

Yes, our quiet little town was losing their minds over it yesterday ha ha! Less so that she was shopping at Target and more so that she was in our little town of all places (southern most city in Orange County before you hit San Diego County). Maybe trying to escape the smoke? Not sure...
