Soarin' ???

We leave for DW in three days! Could you please share experiences about Soarin'. What is it like? My dks ride most anything so I think they'll ride but wnated some info to share! TIA!

Soarin' is wonderful!! It's kinda like an Omni or IMax theater - but the seats move too!

When you get to the front of the line, request to be in the first row. It makes a huge difference! There are 3 rows - and if you're in the 3rd row the view gets smaller because of people's feet in front of you.

I've been on the Soarin' in California. You are seated ten across on seats that look like a ski lift, but are supposed to give the feel of a hang glider. You are lifted maybe 30 feet off the ground, and even in the dark of the theater, given the feeling of flying. Then you burst through the clouds and are Soarin' Over California as it flies by on an IMAX screen.

You'll fly over mountains and coastline and a river (you'll smell pine here, kind of like how you smell pie in Philharmagic). You'll fly over Pebble Beach, the Golden Gate bridge and several other sites.

It really is fun and is almost as breathtaking Mission Space. Only a serious grump or those who get easily motion sick could not have fun.

I rode it for the first time on Tuesday and I enjoyed it. As one poster has already metioned, the first row is the best. Unless someone has a real fear of heights or motion sickness, it is well worth the time to check it out

My husband who is scared of heights AND of flying AND gets motion sickness loved this ride. DD4 loved this ride. It was my favorite ride of our vacation. The movement is very gentle so those who don't like thrill rides will be fine but the ride is so amazing that thrill ride junkies will love it as well.
