Just back last night from an 8 day stay, and we had a chance to ride Soarin twice. It is an absolutely incredible ride, and instantly became one of our top three favorites at WDW. Don't miss it!!!!!

If someone has a fear of heights, should they stay away from this ride? Wife wants to ride, but is definitely apprehensive.

I don't like heights, and it bothered me a little bit for the half minute or so, but it goes away after that. By the second time I rode it, it was a non factor. You are sitting in a substantial theatre type seat, and although your feet swing free, you feel very secure.

To going on Soarin on our upcoming trip :goodvibes  :wizard: :wave2:

Glad to have this info...I was a little nervous about it, but really wanted to try it. Your description makes it sound ok. Thanks!

of our favorite rides when we last toured DL. It is amazing...the smells...the movement and visuals. We were so happy to learn it was added to EPCOT. Can't wait to ride again.

I've heard great hype about Soarin'... but have never heard a description! What is it? :Pinkbounc

If you do a search here on the DIS you will find lots of posts about Soarin.

It is like you are hang gliding over California. The sights and smells are fantastic.

The front row is over 40 ft. off the ground but the lights are dim so you don't realize it.

The ride is awesome.

California? No Florida?

My DH gets motion sickness on the Body Wars because of the quick movement of the film. Star Wars doesn't bother him because it is a smoother motion of filming. Will he have a problem with the way Soarin is filmed ( I hope not!)

We just rode Soarin last week. It was incredible and my family are kind of scaredy cats on rides. My DH got a bit sick on Star Tours (which my 3 yo loved!) and didn't have a problem with Soarin. We met a woman in line (which at park opening was less than 5 mintues) and she had just ridden it and was nervous as she has a height fear. She told my dd 9 to just close your eyes if she got scared. Then the motion part just disappears. A very fabulous ride!

I will be there on May 8th to ride it, can hardly wait! :Pinkbounc :cheer2: :Pinkbounc :cheer2:

My wife and I rode this right after it opened at DCA, and were giggling like mad through the whole thing :rotfl: It's pure bliss.

And it's the only Disney ride I can remember where people actually applauded and cheered when it was over.

Yes, it's just that good. I can't wait to ride it in July! :thewave:

I was lucky to find myself there for the AP premier and rode the ride four times. Front row 3, and back row once. Front row is way better. IT is an awesome ride. First time was a little scarier, felt like flying, but the sights and smells are great!

We are going next week and can't wait!!!! Can someone tell me where in the park it is located so I can have a map in my head of which way to run to get in line??? Thanks!

It's in the Land pavilion...after you pass Spaceship Earth, veer to the right. It's inside the big building with the hexagonal/pyramid sort of thing on top.

Does Soarin start as soon as Epcot opens in the mornings?

Our week is June 23 thru July 1... :Pinkbounc :hourglass
