Look at this picture! http://www.allearsnet.com/tp/ep/soar30.jpg

When you go in, you go to one of the three "gates" right? Do all 9 of those rows go up at once, or is each "Gate" separate? In the other pictures, it looks like everyone is in there at one time.

So, if I want to be in the third row, how do I make sure I get into it? When the doors open, do people just go in and grab any seat, in any row? Or, do you line up outside first, so you know which row you will be in? That third row, closest to the doors, is the one that goes up the least in height?

Hope this all makes sense!

The CM's direct you to the different gates. It all depends where you are in the line. Once you are directed to a gate the CM will line you up in the rows. They start with row 1 and so on. You can always ask a CM for row 1 but you may have to wait.

I've only been to the Soaring in California Adventure. It's one of my DS6's favorite rides. This is how it works there, the lines which are closest to the door enter first and go to the front row. The front row end up being the highest once the ride starts. Views are great from all seats. If you want to be in the highest seats, it helps to be a single and ask for the front row.

Hope this helps.

I think the op wants to be in the 3rd row, which we have heard is the lowest row. I have the same question, don't care for heights too much, but I think I could handle the lowest seats. By the sound of it we would just need to make sure we got in that 3rd row.

Thank you!

Lori

If you want to be in one of the lowest rows, still about 10 feet up, then you want to be one of the last to enter. That would be the 3rd line at each of the doors.

I am really afraid of heights, but it is really easy to do Soarin. You don't really get the illusion of height from the floor. I have ridden in all 3 rows in CA, and they all seem anout the same except that you can see the fett of the row ahead of you (a little), if you are not in row 1. Try row one...it is easy and well worth the extra wait!~ :teeth:

I don't like heights but once the lights go down you don't know how high you are.

Have been on Soarin' at Epcot several times now. Once the lights go down and your seat lifts, you cannot tell how far up you are. You'll be watching the clouds. Same for coming down. You really don't notice the distance as the uplift and decent are very quick, but gentle.

Enjoy.

Just wondering if soaring is opened every day at Epcot now or do we still have to wait until May 5th

It is still in soft openings so it may be running if you go before May 5. It may not be running all the time though until May 5.
