Hey folks. I'm curious, now that the openings for the new track and theater at these popular attractions are well behind us how are they looking line congestion wise?

The addition of the third options for these in theory should have increased capacity and lowered wait times. Have they accomplished that goal?

Yes. The lines at both attractions are averaging quite a bit less than they were before the additions.

Yes. The line at Soarin' can still soar pretty high...see what I did there... But it's much better. Soarin' is easy to get on at rope drop and late in the day. Mid-day, I've seen it go to an hour, but never the 120+ minutes it used to be. TSMM is fairly similar, but typically we saw the lines top out at 40 minutes. If you ride it near park closing, it's a straight walk on.

We rode Soarin' 3 times this morning at rope drop. No line whatsoever. We could have done it more, but we were ready to move on by then. It was our 6th time this trip - only one with a fastpass.

Also, we went on TSMM just as many times this trip - including yesterday when the wait time was listed at 40 minutes and were on and off in 20 or less.

Any idea how late into the morning the line stays under, let's say, 15 minutes? Wondering if we can reasonably rope drop Joy & Sadness and then do Soarin' without using a FP. Fully prepared to use a FP, just curious really.

What would be the best tier 1 fast pass to get now? I have toy story but was thinking RnR might be better now

Hi,

Am here now. Yesterday at 1:00, TSMM had a 30 minute wait
Soarin at 8pm had a 65 minute wait posted (I don't know if it took less than thAt as we had a fast pass)

30 minutes at 1pm in the summer! I never thought I'd see the day. That third track is really working out nicely.

We found last week that if you are there first thing you can ride all the top ones in under 2 hours. The line to TSM was really long behind us when we did rope drop, we were on the front row going in, but we chose to go to Buzz and Woody and get them off our list. The line went in really fast though. We then went back under an hour later and the wait was 20 minutes. My girls wanted to see the star wars characters, so we did that and went back to TSM.

Last Friday I had an fp+ for TSMM in the afternoon. Leaving Epcot we ran into free roaming princesses outside back gate by the boat. While my daughter princessed I changed our fp time back an hour.
When we arrived at HS grandma got distracted by free roaming stormtroopers and wanted to go to Launch Bay right away. I changed my fp time back another hour. We did a design your own magic band, Chewbacca, and other stuff so I had to change TSMM yet again. I made it for after our VotLM and ToT fp+.
When we finally made it around to TSMM we rode it twice- once with fp and once with standby. Followed that up with 2 Star Tours, Olaf, and waltzed right into a good spot for the evening show. This was 7:30pm to 9:15 pm from the first TSMM to Star Wars show. So the track is awesome. Also as an aside this was our first run with fully implemented fp and MDE. It allowed for more spontaneity than the old paper fp.
