It will be our 1st time, and since they are both top tier FP, which would you choose with no guarantee of making the other...my son loves to fly but loves all things with wheels that go fast too!!

From my experience I think I would probably FP Soarin' for later in the morning and head for TT at rope drop, that way you can do both. I have done the Soarin' dash at rope drop and feel like there might be fewer people heading for TT. Maybe someone else can weight in on that.

My 7 year old son said Test Track was the ride he most looked forward to before we went. I'm not even certain how he knew about it since he was only 3 on our prior trip - I think from the planning video? He rode Soarin' as well and liked it, but even after the trip, he still said Test Track was his highlight of the trip.

We did both because we had two Epcot days. Do you have room to add an Epcot day, or hoppers so that you could do 2 half days?

It's always hard to predict what kids will like, but we have five grandsons. And all five like to ride Test Track as many times as possible.

They all like Soarin also, but none of them has ever asked to ride it more than once per trip.

You should be able to rd test track. I find it is faster moving as a result of the single riders line. At the end of the day though, kids love test track and most would choose it over soarin any day!

Two things:

1.) Always FP Test Track over Soarin' because TT breaks down more and can also be closed due to weather. FP+ get you an opportunity to go back later.

2.) My family has a convertible and my child still prefers Test Track.

FP+ Test Track and go to Soarin' at Rope Drop to do both.

Definitely TT. It was the only one my kids kept asking to ride...they didn't even mention Soarin.

DS9 loves Soarin' the most. He thought TT was a little boring. He liked Radiator Springs Racers at DCA better. Also, he wasn't impressed with the speed on TT. He said that mommy and daddy typically drive faster than that on the way to school. DH does amateur autoracing, and we used to drive our cars at the track together before we had DS. So, yeah, he's right:guilty: However, each kid is different. We still RD TT and FP+ Soarin'. On an AM EMH day, we can sometimes RD TT, SB Soarin', and then FP+ Soarin' without too much SB wait.

My kids (4 and 8) love both rides. I agree with the FP for TT because of the breakdowns for issues or weather. Then stand in line for a Soarin...my kids like it so much they are willing to stand in either line for 45 minutes or so without much encouragement and have waited over an hour for both...

I second many opinions. (Do both!) FastPass Soarin and Rope-drop Testtrack. Even if it breaksdown and you have to wait a bit extra, TestTrack will be likely be a shorter standby wait than Soarin'.

Always Test Track! Kid tested, kid approved. Soarin' is great as well, but as others have said, I'd recommend FP for TT with the uncertainties of breakdowns.

Of course you have to do both! I would FP Soarin and hit TT right at RD. My nephew rode Soarin for the first time when he was five. I was lucky enough to sit next to him. He giggled and clapped his hands in sheer joy the entire time - it is one of my fondest WDW memories. Your highest chance for weather shutting down TT is in the afternoon.

This trip I noticed something. It seems like the Tt line is way longer at rope drop vs soaring. I swear people are doing as everyone is saying here and it's what I do too but I bet if u fast pass Tt u can get on soaring easier. Soarings rope drop time as been about 25 this week the two times we were there and Tt has jumped to over 60 at the same time. Next trip I'm reversing and fast passing Tt and rope dropping soaring just to see. Who knows. But it's what it seems like.

TT! DS7's favorite ride and loves "driving" the cars in the showroom. We usually RD Soarin' and FP+ TT. Even with FP+ the TT line is long, but better than standby!

My 5 year old DS LOVES both, but Test Track was the clear winner. He still talks about both rides though on almost a daily basis and we were at Disney in November so quite some time ago now!

I'd RopeDrop Soarin' and FP+ Test Track

edited: to add that TT allows you to design a vehicle prior to the ride and DS loved that part

I can say for our DS who is 9, TT has been his favorite at Epcot since he was tall enough to ride it. If there wasn't an option of RDing one and FP+ the other, our DS would pick TT everytime. He loves Soarin' too but there is no doubt that TT would win the contest between the 2.

Thanks everyone!

I'm planning for Epcot to be a late start morning after a long day at MK, but if park hours remain at a 9am opening, we shouldn't have much trouble being there pretty close to RD and will head right for Soarin' and make a FP for TT.
