Last week when we were there we had FP for Soarin and went straight to Test Track just after rope drop. The standby time for Test Track was already 60 minutes however Soarin standby was only 40 minutes. Has this been a trend lately that Test Track is longer standby than Soarin. We are going back in October and I am trying to decide which ride to FP and which to hit when we get to the park.

Soarin' is where you should go at rope drop. Test Track has a loading system less efficient than Soarin' in short terms. If you go straight to Sorain' at rope drop, there is a large possibility you will be on the first showing of the day. Test Track has to get going by running empty cars around the track until all the cars are loaded with guests. In the long term however, Soarin's line will start to back up and make the wait longer because it isn't continuously loading like Test Track.

So if you are a get there at rope drop kind of guest, get an early FastPass for Test Track, and as soon as the park opens, go straight to Soarin'! This will save you loads of time and makes the most logistic sense.

However, if I was arriving at 10:30 AM or later, I would have a FastPass for Soarin' and stuck out the line at Test Track.

It all depends on when you get there! I hope this helps! :D
