i havent been to disney since 2003 and i just got back from universal studios. they have great thrill rides. so nice i see that theres a new thrill at epcot: Soarin. Could someone tell me any info they have on this ride??? also, where is it in the park? thanks!

it is located in the land in Epcot. It is not a thrill ride. It is a simulator ride. You sit in a row like a hang glider. It does raise you in the air and till to simulate movie over scenes. I did love the ride and hope you do too.

Soarin' is a religious experience. It is the only reason I even go to DCA. If you want pixie dust, here it is in a giant hanger! I'm not going to give details because the details don't really explain. You must experience it for yourself. Just remember that when the clouds part, you can see my house!

can u ACTUALLY c ur house or is that a stupid question lol

An IMAX movie made me very ill after about 1 minute. It was a hot air baloon ride. Will Soarin be similar? Has it made any of you sick?

I got very nauseous on most simulator rides..but I usually have to give a new one a try. I was fine in Soarin!! I loved it. We ended up in the middle row, which was great. I was nervous going onto it (not sure how I'd feel after) but...I was fine. My 4 yr old son loved it, too!!

Everyone is different, but I hate body wars, star wars..jimmy neutron at universal...but loved and had no problem w/soarin!! :pug: :pug:

I et very sick on any simulator rides. Now give me any roller coaster and I am fine. We rode Soarin last week after people on the board said it was not bad. After it was over and I stood up I was just a little dizzy like I had stood up to fast, but I never got sick YEAH... After 30 minutes we went back on it and I had no after effect at all. We rode it 4 times last week and it is wonderful.... :flower:

PrincessAurora said it best by saying that it is a religious experience. I rode it twice this past June at WDW and talked so much about it that my parents drove from Daytona Beach just to go to EPCOT so they could do it as well. They don't do rides hardly at all and they loved it as well. Plain and simple, it is the best ride I have ever been on period.

TIP: Row 1 section B :cool1:

I've seen lots of talk about grabbing the front row - and being there next month, I sure as heck want the best seats. ;)

Do we get to choose our row? Or do CMs assign it to us as we go in?

Thanks for any tips/hints!

Chris :)

I'd have to disagree, seeing the top of the screen for me is worst then seeing a row of shoes. I'd choose Row 2 Section B.
