Soarin from Boardwalk - how do I get there?

Okay - we stayed at the beach club last time we went to Disney and walked to Epcot but had PSB ressies for breakfast so missed the initial rush to the rides. This time, I would like to be at Epcot at opening and rush to soarin to get fast passes right away.

What is the fastest way to get to soarin? Do I go to the back entrance to Epcot by the worldshowcase and wait for the park to open? Seems like I would be at a huge disadvantage for getting to soarin right away if I have to walk all the way through the park there. Any help is appreciated!

You will walk through the International Gateway entrance and eventually will be held at a rope outside of Britain. They let you go a little before the people at the front entrance rope drop (that was my experience when we were at BC in December) so that you get there (if you walk quickly) around the same time as those from the front. No, you won't be the very first person on the ride, but you will be in the first throng of people and will have little to no wait.
