So, are you a Soarin foot kicker? I am. I rode it five times this week and I noticed that only some people kick their feet while riding (I'm one of them). I figured I needed to do a poll to get some official results. I love to ride barefoot and kick my feet gently back and forth as I ride. Who is with me in the foot kicking club?

Foot kickers here! DH loves the canoeing (sp?) scene and he'll say "I kick you in the head - BAM" as we're flying over them.

yeah...stupid...but we enjoy it!

I had an elderly man sitting next to me the last time I rode it...we were in row 1...top row...and he sat there kicking his feet and holding his wife's hand...it was really sweet.

My daughter and I both love to kick our feet! when you go around the river bend...Hmmm, WHERE have I heard THAT one before? anyway, when you go down the river you just have to do it and then when you ski over the mountain, when the ocean waves are rolling etc. I found that it made my daughter less worried about what the ride was about in the beginning! Yo Ho! Helen

Yes I do it too!

I love to kick my feet over the river and through the orchard. I never tried it barefoot. That will be my next adventure. Great idea! :cheer2:

I just lift my feet so they do not get wet or scrape the mountain peaks. At 6' 6" here, ya just can't be too careful about those things.:teeth: :thumbsup2

When you said foot kicker.. I thought kicking someone else's feet! :rotfl: I was going to say "No, I would never want to kick a stranger's feet!" Sorry.. I misunderstood you.. OK.. you meant.. swinging your feet while it's dangling.

Yes.. I swing my feet while it's dangling! It's funner that way. I even sway my body a little bit..

I love kicking my feet in some scenes. The last time I rode it, I even had my shoes off (because they were backless and would have flown off) and I have to say that adding the element of air moving thru my toes was amazing :thumbsup2

If you were in the second or third row and somebody was doing this in the row infront of you, wouldn't this be anoying?

I guess if you were looking for it, it could be.

Personally, I'm watching the Saorin' film and not feet. The only time I notice the feet is when they first lift you up, after that, I don't pay attention.

Likewise, with what Evil Queen said - I'm not watching other's feet. :goodvibes

Yeah, but what about the smelly feet? Kicking about the smelly feet could cause others near you to go :earseek: :crazy2:  :faint:

:rotfl:

It is bothersome, yes. I deal with it as part of the ride...you learn to tune it out, like the scrolling on the TV news channels.

For a while, I held my feet still so as not to disturb others, but now I swing...the urge is too powerful and the feeling just too good to pass up. :)

Why do you think they have those scents on there anyway?!?!? It isn't to enhance the experience; it is so you don't smell all the stinky feet :rotfl:

In reality, you would have to have some really pungent feet for someone else to smell them!

As for the swinging feet, I have ridden in all 3 rows and I don't find much of a difference in the experiences. I don't notice people's feet (after the very begining) unless I am looking for them. The only thing that bothered me the last time I rode it was that at the very begining someone's shoe flew off and was sitting at the bottom of the screen. I don't know why but I was bothered by that shoe for the rest of the ride :confused3 :rotfl:

DD and I not only "kick" but we have a contest who can run faster across the airplane carrier and than yell jump at the end (not loud enough to disturb others). DD know gets annoyed because I always complain of getting a cactus prick in the one scene :rotfl2:

As someone who is afraid of heights and did this ride with my eyes closed the first three times, kicking your feet really helps distract you from other motion issues. (BTW, I have now done it with my eyes open 20+ times, it is one of my favorites)

Foot kicker here!!!!!!! I usually keep my crocs on, but next time I can't wait to try it barefoot!!!! :yay:

I can't help but kick my feet during this ride...........which I LOVE!!!

Can't wait - 5 more days and we're there!

:cool1: I am a barefoot foot kicker. DH is too. We both love this ride. I only ever notice feet if I go looking for them. I am too into watching what is on the screen to notice feet hanging above me. :goodvibes

I don't think I would find kicking feet any more annoying than the stationary feet ;)

The first time I found myself kicking my feet, I felt rather silly. So nice to know I'm not alone :grouphug:
