I am looking for information on how fast the lines for Soarin fill up during the EMH mornings, especially during the "low-crowd" days.

We are planning on heading to the morning EMH Dec 12th specifically for Soarin'. We will get there right at opening. We have a DD4 and a DS15months. Our plan is for either me or my DW to go on it first with DD, then once they get out for the other parent to go on it with DD again. After that we want to leave Epcot and head to MGM to be there as close as we can to their opening at 9am. Is this doable? :confused3 Do the lines fill up so fast that after my DW and DD get out I will have like a 20min wait? Again, this will be during a supposed "low-crowd" time.

Any info, advice, or strategies would be great!

TIA

Use the baby swap for this. Then you shouldn't have any problems.

I haven't tried that yet. I have read it in the UG. Isn't that when one of the parents stands at the front while the other parent rides and when the first parent comes back, they swap the child? My one concern is wouldn't people in line give you the evil eye while you wait right up front? Most of those people wouldn't have seen you go through the entire line, nor do the majority of the people read the UG or these boards to be familiar with baby swap.

Does it really work? And do the CMs support you (the parent doing the swap) on this?

:crazy2: They have changed most of the other rides for "child or parent swap" to a fast pass thing. You show them your child that is under the height requirement, they had you a fast pass to return after your wife and DD come off of the ride. Then you and DD can go back on. Nobody will know you are child swapping if they do it that way. They will just think that you have fast passes.. so no evil eye!

The baby swap is one of Disney's best features, and it's done very discreetly, no one gives you the evil eye!

Tell the CM at the entrance to the ride (before you get in the line) that you want to do a baby swap. The CM will tell you what to do and where to go -- it's different for different rides, sometimes you all wait in the line and divide up at the loading point, sometimes you go to the exit, etc.

But no matter what, it's a commonplace thing, so don't be concerned about the other folks. It's designed so that yes, you do wait in line like everyone else, but you don't wait in line twice!
