Hello!

We arrive in Orlando on Thursday, Nov 30th. Based on several factors, we were thinking of going to Epcot for our first park. I'm guessing we could arrive at the park by noon. Will we still be able to get a fastpass for Soarin' or should we just leave that ride for another day when we can get to the park earlier? Could we still see Mission Space? Do we have to be there as early as rope-drop? I don't think my young ones could tolerate a wait time above 30 minutes. TIA

Its impossible to predict for SURE, but the key is that Nov. 30 will be relatively lower attendance.

The Soarin' FP's should still be available and the Standby may be "doable" as well.

You should be able to. But if you have never been to Epcot, you will most likely need 2 days (one day for Future World and one day for WSC).

We also did Epcot for our first two days and got FP's for Soarin.

One of our biggest regrets is not riding Soarin as much as possible! It will be worth a trip over to see if you can.

You should definately be able to still get a fp it is certainly needed for Soarin' considering at 11 in the morning the wait can get up to an hour. So the fp helps a lot. What you can also do is to get a fp then wait in the Standby line then after you get off just go right on again with the fp as long as the fp time is close and the wait for Standby is doable. :cool1: :thumbsup2 ;) :cheer2: Have fun!!!!! :bounce:

When I was there 2 weeks ago during the week, the fastpass time for Soarin was about 2 hours away around noon. When I came back, the standby said 60 minutes but the line was only at the top of the ramp, which is probably about 15 to 20 minutes.

We will be heading back to Epcot at least one more time, once with the kids and once for "adult night" when DH and I do Showcase and have dinner at Marrakesh on Saturday night. :cloud9:

May take the kids Saturday day (at rope-drop) or Monday (at rope). Funny, because I didn't realize what an attraction Soarin' was until very recently. Good thing I have this board!

Thanks to all who reponded! :goodvibes

We were able to get fast passes for Sorin several times during our visit last week. We usually had to come back an hour or two later. Several times I think the stand by time posted was a little off. On our last night it said there was a 60 minute wait but the kids were begging to ride one last time. We got in line and ended up only waiting about 30 minutes. It was well worth the wait.

Hi there SuperTink!

We'll be arriving the same day as you. Yes, you'll be able to get a FP at that time.

In fact, when we were there in Sept., we were able to get one at 4:30 in the afternoon with a return of 5:30.

as others have said, you should be able to get fastpasses for soarin. as for mission space, i would think you could get on that for a reasonable amount of waiting, less than 30 minutes.

Can't hurt to try :thumbsup2

Soarin' is my 4 year olds favorite ride. He would be on it all day if possible. I am just hoping we can get the top row this trip. Some how we always end up in the bottom row and the lil guy is just itching to be up high!

Getting a FP for Soaring that time of day should not be a problem, and just maybe you can get the FP, book over to Mission space, ride and have time to return to Soaring.

My kids also wanted the top row, so on our last night I asked the CM if we could be seated there, and she gladly had us stand off to the side until the next seating. She made their last ride of the trip very memorable. Just ask and I bet they will help you out :)

Get a fastpass.

Just make sure you ride it. Ask the loading Cast Member if you can get first row...even if you have to wait longer. It's worth it! :thumbsup2

I couldn't agree more! We had the first row on our first ride on Soarin and it was wonderful! My DH also said there is a hidden Mickey in there too (according to his Hidden Mickey book he got).

So, did you find it? :teeth:

We went to EPCOT on Fri, Nov 3 at 11 a.m. after going to AK to ride Expedition Everest first thing.

Attendence was very light. We did Soarin' 3 times that day, only one of which was a fast pass. The queue said it was 30 minutes but from the time we stepped in line until DONE with the ride was 18 minutes. it was very manageable, plus we got fast passes even though we came later than the opening time.

The rest of the park was the same way. We rode Mission Space 3 times that morning, plus test track and many other rides.

Going on a weekday during a slower time of year is the best way to go.

I think so. Before going over the trees for the orange grove, I saw a tree that looked like a Mickey Head. I have to double check DH's book to find out if I'm right.
