Soaps weekend - does it start Fri. or Sat.?

Are there events for Soaps weekend at MGM planned for Fri., 11/7 or is it just for Sat., 11/8 and Sun., 11/9? I'm trying to AVOID the crowds at MGM, not be a part of them that weekend (LOL!)

I was thinking MGM wouldn't be so crowded Fri. night if Soaps weekend didn't start until Sat. morning. Is that a good assumption?

Also, will the crowds at MGM and Epcot dwindle down on Sun. night as people go home? It seemed like that would be a good night to go in the evening. Again, is this a good assumption or will it just be crowded everywhere Sun. night?

It starts Sat. Nov. 8 at around 9:00am and lasts till 10:00pm both Days! Any other info you need, just ask me, this will be my 5th trip to SSW!

Thanks Poohbear123! I do have a couple questions for you. Have you ever been to MGM the Fri. night before Soaps weekend? Is it really crowded?

Also, is the whole park crowded on Sat. and Sun. or just the areas where the stars are? I sure appreciate your help - thanks again!

Anyone else want to offer their 2-cents? I'd love to hear from everyone!

I have another question...has it been announced yet which stars will be attending and what will be planned. I'll be there for Sunday 11/9 and am trying to decide if we should make a stop at MGM.

SueSue- No I have not been there Fri. night before the event. It is crowded where the Stars are, but, last year Crowd Control was EXCELLENT! LaurieW-No, the list has not been released as far as I know, but, there is suppose to be OVER 30 Stars attending! I am hoping to see Sonny from General Hosp. Last year, Steve Burton was there, and you could not get within 5 feet of HIM! If you get there REALLY early, like around 6am I guess, you can be first in line for a wrist band to get into WWTBAM-Play it-with a Soap Star, and the Interviews! The park does NOT open till about 9:00am

MK is crowded, cause its Sat. and Sunday, but, EPCOT was not, even though it is Food and Wine Festival. I will be attending AK on Friday this year, and MK Friday night!
