Soap star weekend - when?

I don't see anything under special events on Disney's site for Soap Star Weekend. Does anyone know the dates. I'd rather avoid the extra crowds if at all possible.

I believe it's Nov 8 and 9th - I thought it was listed somewhere on the official Disney World website...

I think it's usually the weekend before Veteran's day weekend -

ALL day long at MGM! The rides will NOT be crowded, but autographs to see the Soap Stars WILL be.

DH & I are going 11/8 - 11/15. We booked for the Food & Wine and then dicovered that it is Soap weekend. Since we both work full-time, we are not into the soaps. After we check in (Boardwalk Villa around Noon) we usually walk over to MGM for a few hours.
How bad are the crowds and on soap weekend and should we go over to Epcot and do MGM during the week? Crowds or no crowds, can't wait to be back in WDW again.

I went to the SSW last year and it was great. I have been watching All My Children since I was 4 so I loved seeing them all. As for crowds my DH and DD loved it! As I was watching the "Stars" they were able to hop on and off rides w/ just about no wait. Just make sure you get a schedule for the soaps and make sure you avoid the gathering places for their events. You couldn't cut through if your life depended on it. For example they have soap talks through out the day in front of the "hat" you wouldn't believe the people standing there so avoid going through that area at those times. Also they have the stars signing autographs all over the place so it does make getting through the little narrow places a little difficult. I hope this helps. Also the WDW site does not post anything on this I can't remember the actual site but you can do a search on the ABC website anf it will bring you to it.
