Now I know I was bubble wrapped and after a few incidents falling asleep on the train my mum would drive my brother and I to school much of the time because her work hours allowed it.

Hi Lasters! Seems I'm always catching up around here.
PIO: sounds like your DS gets lots of exercise & you guys are pretty active. If he is a little overweight, I bet he won't be for long.

Lately, I'm just trying to catch up as well.

Sadly, DS has been overweight for a while, despite the amount of exercise he gets. He just eats too much.

So I wasn't getting any notifications for the last few days... Not sure what happened :

Anyway, yes, I did get the mixer It's pretty and red and sitting on my bedroom floor right now, since I didn't actually get my tax return. My mom bought it and I'm going to pay her back when my return finally clears (should be by the end of the week). I haven't used it yet, since my dad doesn't know that I have it (I promised to give him a portion of my return, which I can't do right now, since it's not in my account). I plan to use it tomorrow morning, though

hopefully, your dad doesn't register that you also used a portion of your return to buy a new toy.

We're all packed and ready to go, but still have a bunch of things to do in town before we hit the freeway. Shutting down the computer now!

Concert. Roger Waters....Pink Floyd's The Wall. It's over 30 years old; but still a sell-out around the world. Brilliant concert and for an over 50 year old, he still sings awesome.

I have some very bad cell phone pics but have no idea how to download them on to my laptop. I took my dSLR and wasn't allowed in unless I checked it into the baggage. Seems like point and shoots were allowed but no "professional" cameras.

I wish I could've seen that show!

A work colleague bought tix to the Boston show last year and then flew out for the concert. He raved about the concert. I've wanted to see it since and when the first Melbourne concert went on sale, I missed out on tickets. I got the 'ding' about the pre-release sale for the second concert and got seats.

I see. Well you can get some cheap but decent P&S cameras for things like that.

The funny thing about taking away the 'professional' camera is that they don't want flash photography. Most people that own P&S don't know how to turn off their flash.....so despite lots of announcements, flashes were going off all over the place.

And yes...I've been considering getting a decent P&S. We have a 7 year old camera that isn't broken; very low resolution and is completely outdated. But it isn't broken....and I don't like replacing stuff that isn't broken. Silly, isn't it?
