So who's waitlisting for December already

switched my studio for 12/1 and 12/2 from VWL to BWV standard room.....
still on the waitlist for the 2 bedroom BCV/BWV and a studio that would be at the same resort/category.... for 12/3 - 12/8

I got BWV 1 bedroom standard view booked for 11 nights in December. I will be cancelling some of those dates as soon as I got my Fall semester finalized later this Summer.

I booked initially at the 11 month window, and only a month or so ago I added the remaining nights I may need.

I've managed to swap our 6 nights at OKW from 28th December to 3rd January to Villas at Wilderness Lodge and have gone on a waitlist for a 1 bed at either BWV or BCV. I really don't mind if it comes through or not I'll be happy where ever we stay

We are waitlisted for a studio at the BCV for 12/3-12/5. We have been waiting since April so I am sure there are plenty ahead of us. We did atleast get a member discount for cash for the nights but I would much prefer to use points. I have never had to waitlist so I really have no idea if we have any chance of getting it.

I just called last week for reservations for studio or 1BR at any of the resorts from 12/3 thru 12/6. There was nothing available. I got on the wait list and a 1 BR at SSR came through about 2 days later. I took it but stayed on the wait list for anything else.

We are definitely booked for SSR, but we are dying to have access to the Beach Club Pool, so we are now waitlisted for Dec 30-Jan 5 at Beach Club. I hope it comes through, but if not, we will still have a great time.

We have SSR studio res for Dec 30 and 31 but want to switch to Boardwalk. Of course I want to win the lottery as well... I may just have a better shot at that.

Well cancelled my first waitlist because I found out my Mom and Sister and her BF were joining us, so am now waitlisted for a studio on Dec 30 to Jan 1. Ugh!!! I got the studio for the 30th at SSR but still need Dec 31... I am also waitlisted both days for all other resorts. Whichever I get first for them...

We got our GV at OKW for the week of Dec 9 - 16th. Now I only have to wait for our family and friends to back out of coming with us. We all know they will as that is Murphy's Law when you invite others along!

Our waitlist came through! We already had a one-bedroom at BWV, but now we have Boardwalk view! I just have to decide which night to take... we had two of three nights, and now the Thursday and the Sunday have come through... but we just wanted one or the other.

You called at 11 months out and couldn't get your home resort? Did you call at 9AM? seems strange. Good luck!

we wait listed at 7 month date for bcv and bwv, two separate resses, dec 12-17, and dec 17-22, with confirmations at ssr then vwl, our wait list for the 17-22 came through at bcv, and we took it, now if bwv will come through for 12-17 we'll be happy resorters.

I was able to switch 1/2 of my ressie 12/23-12/26 to BW-STD view at the 7moth window...I was shocked But my 12/26-12/29 I am at SSR...I called 7month window...nothing available. Called last evening...nothing available anywhere in a stuido for 12/26-12/29...WOW...didn't see that coming. I thought there would still be a few rooms available somewhere.

We decided a couple of days ago that we want to make our first trip "home" the week before Christmas. I was able to book a studio at SS for Dec. 17 - 22 and we are waitlisted for a studio at either BCV or BWV. No matter where we stay I know it will be a great trip and I am so excited to get to see Disney all decorated up for Christmas!!!!

So are we the only ones who've not waitlisted day by day? I wouldn't like to change resorts for one night of our stay so I waitlisted for the entire stay. We've been on the waitlist since the 7 month window--so a little over 5 weeks now. I check the DVC website daily but my reservation hasn't changed yet.

From the sounds of this board there's pretty much no chance of getting our waitlist then since it sounds as if everybody else has waitlisted day by day. Do they fill the day by day slots first? Does my waitlist only come through if someone cancels the exact reservation I need? Or do they fill a day here and a day there until the whole reservation is completed?

Somebody enlighten me please.

I just booked a studio boardwalk view at my home resort, BWV for Dec 29, 30. I was surprised there was availability. We are waitlisted for December 28 and December 31. I don't care about Dec 28, but I booked a hotel room for the 31st. I'm not hopeful about NYE opening up.

We didn't either as I wouldn't want to take the chance of having to move resorts for just one night. We have never had a waitlist not come through eventually but this is the first time we are waiting on a 2BR so we shall see if that changes our chances.
