thats the plan now - fly down on Sat and not go to our first park till Tues late afternoon! Dont want to activate those APs right away so Im planning on Typhoon Lagoon, pool hopping (DVCers) and Downtown Disney. There's plenty to do to keep us busy

::MickeyMo There's definitely plenty to do, but you definitely have more control than we do! We jump on the monorail and head to MK the first day of arrival! You just get that warm gooey feeling inside once the castle is in sight. I makes it so real. ::MinnieMo

Oh my goodness, I can't wait 3 HOURS after arriving at WDW before hitting a park, never mind 3 days! Of course that's just me, but the first thing I do is drop off the luggage and head out! I'm always so excited to be there I can't wait to start enjoying the magic!

I may be waiting til our third day also...we arrive Thursday (T'giving day). Friday and Saturday if it's warm enough we'll hang at the pool and do Downtown Disney, hopefully I'll get tickets for Cirque. The parks will be too crowded for me those two days, so we won't be hitting a park until Sunday!

That's the plan...whether I stick to it or not depends on my will power. :goodvibes

We once didn't make it to a park until our third full day, but that involved a trip to the urgent care center and two trips to the emergency room. I don't recommend it.

Uh.... not me. I have no self-control.

You guys are pillars of self control!

We always take the same flight each year, which, by the time we get the rental car and check in at our resort, puts us in around 3PM. Every year we say we won't waste a pass on the first day, but in the 10th year of this schedule, we haven't had the will power to stay out of the parks yet!

I've never had an AP, but explain this to me. Do a few days make a difference?

Glad to see I'm not alone. I have no self control and don't care how late we get there but I hop over to Epcot first thing (usually stay at Dolphin). The last few times I went with other people no one wanted to go the first day, it was torture for my family. We got to the hotel by noon. They wanted to unpack and lay by the pool. :rolleyes2 This trip in May I insisted on going just our family for the first time in years we are going alone. I can't wait!!!
