I'll be online at noon! Hopefully able to get some tickets for DH & I...GO WHITE SOX!!!

My older brother's wife, Kathleen, who is a DIE-HARD White Sox fan certainly will!!!! She and my older brother were at the American League Championship Series Game 1 as well!!!! :cheer2:

Go Sox!!!! Win a World Series Championship for her and the South Side of Chicago!!!!!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2:

I am - unfortunately I only have about 15 min to get in and out before picking up DS from school :(

We'll be in Chicago visiting my mom who's a huge sox fan so they are really for her more than us.

So, did anybody get them? I was online, and I tried. I actually got into the site at 12:04, but then it asked me for the security word, which I typed in, and then it came back and told me that it wasn't correct!!! pirate:

I know I typed it in correctly, so it was very frustrating. I think that's when I got booted in my place in line. I actually got in when they were offering 4 tickets...and by the time I had to go back and do it all over, they were only offering one ticket. :guilty:

Good luck to all of you who got them! GO WHITE SOX!! :cheer2:

Nope, no luck...I got 'in line' on ticketmaster for 2 tickets, and was on hold on the computer 20 min, then it kicked me out. Tried back for 1 ticket for DH even and nothing! I'm going to keep trying back for 1 ticket, although I think they sold out rather quickly. DH said they only opened up a few thousand tickets.

I tried and failed. Oh well - I can see better on TV anyway!

I just had a friend email me to let me know that single tickets were being resold at 1500/apiece!!!!! :earseek:

Now, this might be lucritive. I can buy a BIGGER TV with that, and just watch it at home!! :rotfl:

Oh well...it does make you wonder how some people got tickets and others didn't. Minnie, looks like you and I had the same experience. Bummer!

Oops, I didn't see this thread when I posted mine! sorry about that Minnie !!

I was so mad, I was in the que (sp?) from about 12:05 (took 5 minutes to even get anywhere) until 12:25 only to be told there were no tickets, I also had no luck on the phone !! Hmmm I wonder if I could sell a couple kids to get some tickets :bitelip:

I tried...got to the screen that asked me for the verification code, and then the screen didn't load properly. Tried over and over after that, but nothing. The website didn't handle the load very well, imho.

no luck here either. I was ready to go at 1202, verfies very quickly and then waited and waited and got nothing.

I need 4 tix which I think was part of my problem!

Hmmmm...I wonder if this is something that should be brought up to ticketmaster? I have talked to a few friends and co-workers, and all came up with the same problem when trying to get tickets. I know it's definitely partly due to immediate site overload, but considering everyone had the same problem, and all got booted off at roughtly the same spot (the security word verification login) it would seem to me that not only was it system overload, but maybe a problem on ticketmasters part...

....but I bet you the brokers still got in.

Of course the brokers got in, just look at ebay where there are over 1000 ads for World Series tickets

Just saw an article on NBC that said that all games sold out in 18 minutes. Funny, I was able to get access in 4 minutes, and I still couldn't get em!!

It's days like these that I wish I was a broker.

Well, the money I didn't spend on tickets is just more I'll be able to spend on colder beer and saltier peanuts in my own home. :teeth:
