and what did you score? Was it insanely crowded? :crowded:

I stayed home -- it looks like I've pretty much done everything online this year. All I've got left to do are the stockings.

Shopping? Already?

(I'm the guy who arrives at the mall at 3:00 on Christmas Eve with a credit card and a crazed look on my face!) :rotfl2:

:santa: Didn't actually do any shopping, but had to drop my DP off at the mall at 6am cuz he had to work. The parking lot was already crazy packed! I did drop by Best Buy to check the insanity. The line to check out wrapped almost halfway around the inside of the store. I laughed  , shook my head, and walked out.

I just can't do it, besides I have to work to plus I had to be at work today too. On the plus side, traffic on the highways was non-existent. My normal 45-60minute commute took me 35 minutes including a stop to get gas. Gotta love the holidays.:upsidedow

No shopping yet for me.. I'm doing all mine either over the internet, and in disney world.. (I leave next friday :) )

im going to the mall today later when crowds die down.. have fun person on top of me!! im jealous!! take me with you!!:guilty: hehe.

For the first time EVER, I went shopping.
Woke up at 3:30 AM (well, I kicked Tammy out of bed at 3:45 so I could sleep until 4:15).
Was at Wal-Mart at 5:00 AM.
It was insanity!!!!!
They were out of the guitar hero 1 & 2 bundle pack, but I got two wireless guitars and chicken dance elmo.
So I ended up going to another Wal-Mart -
it was so peaceful and quiet!
I got everything I intended to get for really good deals.
Now I just have to make 42 bucks last one week. It can be done, right? :rotfl2:

When I passed our Best Buy last night around 9pm there was a whole group of people waiting in tents! I can't imagine......
I'm all about getting stuff on-line and avoiding the crowds. It may cost a bit more but the peace of mind and less aggravation is priceless!

I hate, loathe and abominate shopping. It's classified as a dirty word in this house :scared1: .

Seriously!

Christmas shopping is easy for me this year...Disney Dollars all around in preparation for our April trip! Feels like cheating to me but it's what all of the kids want!:santa:

I made it to the mall, and out, in one piece. However, some people may have lost a finger or elbow, I didn't have my Starbucks beforehand and was horribly cranky. I know, shocking! LOL.
I scored a Sunbeam Stand mixer for $79.97 from Boscov's, I also got a Green Nano for my neice for $99 (I had a rebate from Apple for buying my iPhone) OH!! And I bought 1/2 pound of fudge (for myself ;) ) for $1.40 WOO!! Boscov's Fudge Rules! LOL. Other than that, I bought stuff for myself. LOL.

I stayed in today and did nothing...
... well I did watch "Finding Nemo"... (I laughed, I cried)
but the shopping thing I finished on line... and I will do some when I am at WDW the 2nd week of Dec. Can't wait...

CeleryStalker --

I can SO read that (one of the dang few rewards of dyslexia) LOL!:upsidedow

Shopping? Yesterday? Surely you jest on both counts? :teeth:

I am NOT a good shopper, however I had the good sense to fall in love with my DP who is the Queen of internet deals. She does most of it for us.

I far prefer to spend my time in the grocery store (no that's not shopping silly, that's providing for the family! :teeth: ) selecting delicious things that will go into our holiday meals.

That's me too! I spent way too much money on food...but it's how I kept all the kids at my house when they were teens...I fed them!
As for all other shopping, if it weren't for DD Tara I'd be wearing rags....uncoordinated ones at that!

Ok, we shopped last night after work. I did some shopping today too. I didn't get it all done. I still have things that I want to pick up for Gabby. Last night, Gabby admitted that she wanted the Guitar Hero game for our PS2. I should have known, being that she plays guitar, but I thought she had said that it was a kids game and that she didn't want it in the past. :rolleyes1 So, I began my quest for a good price last night.

So, in me having to ask her questions about what kind of guitar she wanted for the game and all, the surprise factor was shot, so I ended up buying the Target bundle deal, which was for Guitar Hero III with 2 guitars that are both hardwired for $85 plus tax....usually it's $109.99 plus tax. I gave it to her and said "Happy Selfish Day!" (She has been so involved in caring for everyone else, including her clients, family, and even me, that she has stated that she is going to try to be more selfish and make time for herself more often.) She was grinning from ear to ear and with her being home next week, thanks to my PICC line procedure, this gives her something to do when she isn't caring for me or working with her clients from home. She played it about 8 hours straight and has a numb left hand right now, but she loves it, so I am really pleased with that purchase.

I picked up the deluxe 320gb external hard drive from Western Digital at Target for $99.99 because it was sitting in the wrong place on the shelf and the employee made an error in telling me the price was $99.99 when it was actually $149.99. So, all of our laptops, music, photos and such are being backed up! Major score there, I know they can be had for cheaper some days, but it's a good deal and it's a good name brand product. I am happy.

Ok, entering steath mode.....(I wish).....I picked up Guitar Hero for the PS2 at Target for $39.99, but at Walmart, they had a Dual Pack of Guitar Hero and Guitar Hero II for only $39.94, so I bought it and returned the Guitar Hero game at Target. I also picked up a wireless guitar for the game at Toys R Us for half price, $19.99. So, those items will be presents at Christmas. There are some other items that I wanted to pick up, but just didn't have the energy or time to pick up. I shopped in Alpharetta, Duluth, Suwanee, Lawrenceville, and Buford today. Basically, I hit all the major shopping zones in 8 hours. I am pooped, especially since I worked this morning.

I hope to sneak in some more shopping tomorrow. Maggie

:lmao: Oh honey, I was born to shop. I have shopaholic gay men friends that refuse to go shopping with me anymore because I make them too tired. I am about to go hit the stores again today. I have to run a few errands and then it's jolly old elf shopping time. Maggie
