So Who Likes Ohana Character Breakfast?

"ʻOhana means family and family means nobody gets left behind. Or forgotten."

This was one of the best Disney experiences my son and I have ever had! We attended the Best Friends Breakfast last year when he was 8. We had to go because my son may be the biggest Stitch fan ever. I was worried that he would soon outgrow his love for Lilo and Stitch. (Like the year he turned 4 and we were at Studios and he plain refused to go see Bear of "Bear In The Big Blue House" fame. I reminded him that he loved Bear. He reminded me that he needed to look for Luke Skywalker, there was no time for Bear!!) So I booked this ADR with my fingers crossed that he would not outgrow Stitch before our trip. Not to worry, thanks to this character breakfast neither of us could ever loose our love for Stitch!

First of all, I do not understand anyone not loving Stitch. Particularly, the mothers of boys. Stitch's badness level is high, but his heart is huge and he is "cuddly" :stitch2:

Stitch made a huge fuss over DS (probably because he was wearing a Stitch tshirt, had a stitch back pack clip on, and an Experiment 626 Laser Gun. He had STITCH FAN written in neon letters above his head!!!) But, Pluto made just as big a fuss, seriously. Lilo was sweet and stayed and hugged awhile. Mickey made lots of nice gestures and also stayed awhile. But the antics between Pluto and Stitch "fighting" over DS's laser gun were so much fun. Pluto played with all of DS's toys, took off with the gun twice and was chased down by Stitch who eventually returned the gun! The parade was also lots of fun and each character carefully and expressively posed for pics while in the parade. I have attached just some of the pics I took there. The only bad thing I can say about this character breakfast is that there just is not as much lighting as there is at Crystal Palace. You do have to play with your camera some to make good use of the light.

If you won't go for Stitch and the other characters then go for the food. We are granola eaters, generally, at breakfast, but we actually ate this food! And the juice which I think is called POG (either pinapple, orange, and quava or passionfruit, orange, and guava) It is the best juice we have ever had and I think I may ask for some to go next time!!!! :scratchin

My DS 9 seems to think the juice was called POG juice for pineapple, orange, and guava. He loved it too!

The juice is great. It is called POG but the P stands for passionfruit.

Ohanas is a good time. The food is basic but really good. It is scrambled eggs, potatoes, biscuits, bacon, sausage, and mickey waffles, but what you really are paying for is the character experiance.

Just a warning it can be a while to see the characters depending on where they are when you sit down. They seat in what they call "The Wave" where the characters go in a big circle. Most people are done eating and are basically waiting for the characters, and once they see the characters they leave. Then the restauarant resets the table and seats the next party. So most people get sat after "the wave" has passed, and they have to wait for characters to go all the way around the restaurant again. This isnt the case for everyone but it does happen when they are busy. If you want to try and minimize the wait, I would recommend either going right when they open at 7:30, or right before they close around 10:30-11.

If you sit back and have a good time eat and be merry, you will have a good time.

We went to 'Ohanas for breakfast for the first time last Sept. on our last day. We've gone to PF 1900 a few times before but it was closed for rehab. We had 11 a.m. ADRs. We really enjoyed it. :goodvibes Since our ADRs were so late the restaurant was practically empty. By the time we left there were only a few tables of people left. However, the characters continued to make the rounds, I think each character came around at least 3 times.

The food was very good. Nice and hot. And when we reordered the mickey waffles, they were even better. We all enjoyed the POG juice. Very tasty. And the fresh fruit was good as well. Eggs and sausage also very goo. I wouldn't hesitate to return here and may do so this Sept. I was sure if we would enjoy our breakfast, or not, since we've done the dinner at 'Ohanas and didn't like it. :confused3

Here's a few more pix to get you salivating! :rotfl2:

We love breakfast at 'Ohana the characters are so much fun especially Stitch who is always getting into trouble! Our waitress was great she played with Stitch and my girls just loved it. I love the Mickey waffles and the food was good. It is great not to have to get up and rush back from a buffet. You just sit and enjoy your food without worry of missing any of the characters.

We stay at the Poly and make this our last character fix on check out day.

food was great! the characters were nice also but it did take forever and if I recall- we waited pretty long for stitch. we had a large party of kids celebrating their party and they were throwing a fit since they didnt get to see him- so we waited...... I think it was close to lunch time before we were finished..

We went to all three in August of 2006 and we loved them all. If I'm forced to pick a favorite it's Crystal Palace because it's in MK and it's so beautiful. The food was served family style at Ohana and I liked that. It was delicious & the parade was fun for the kids!

Ohana's is always our last day breakfast tradition. Curiously, it has become a bittersweet experience for us. We love the breakfast and characters, but we hate going home!!

We have eaten at Ohanas breakfast several times, the last being back in October '07. The food is awesome and as others have stated, the juice is out of this world. The characters are great. Stitch payed with my son and feed him his breakfast. We will be taking our kids back here in June for another enjoyable meal! :thumbsup2

Hey megveg. By your pictures it looks like you had what I think is the best table in the house. Little window table near the one corner with the perfect view. I have been there also.
