So who is scrapping with me this week-end???

Seems like everyone is getting a lot done! Me not so much...my scanner is not scanning the pics I need for Rachel's book So I'm in the process of categorizing recipes and cutting paper to 8x8.

Need an opinion--would you categorize by type of recipe ie:cookies, brownies, cakes, etc OR by the grandmother that the recipes came from?

I would do by type because when I'm in the mood for brownies - I want to look in one spot at the different ones then see which I have everythig for

if one granny like pink roses & the other like daisys - I would stamp the right flower by the recipe

I'll be able to scrap some tonight after the kids are in bed. I will try to use one of the sketches--depends on which photos will fit. I personally like the pagemaps one the best. My problem is that I can't always cut my pics. down that small so I'll have to adapt a bit.

I know what you mean - that is what I didn't like on that one - I love lots of pics but I want them at least 3.5x3.5 unless I"m printing them at the time & can pick ones & print just for it

I'm using the third one (I think) sketch 232 - just playing with it - no pictures are coming to my mind at this moment for it

Well, I got one page done this afternoon. Not sure if I will be able to squeeze anything else out. So glad everyone else is feeling productive today.

And I would classify the recipes by type as well and then somehow make it obvious who they came from.

Cheryl, definately by category,, with a notation from which grandmother the recipe came from. Much easier to find what you need that way.

Rachel and I decided on categories with each grandma having her own mat color. That way as we add recipies whoever they come from can have their own mat color as well. So clearly scrappers minds all work in the same way Thanks for your help

UGH! Got a call at 10:30 this morning that we can't have our cookie booth at the liquor store tomorrow, because "three days in a row of girl scouts is too many." Uh, it wasn't too many when you okayed the dates in January!

I am Once again, our troop gets the shaft. They found us a spot at K-Mart, but I highly doubt we'll do anywhere near as well. *This* is why we don't do cookie booths.

well round 1 with the test cut on paper the machine won. round 2 I'm happy to say was the first shot with the vinyl and I won! only my 2nd time using vinyl too. I also won the first round with sticking on the window that was already installed on the building. pics will follow when I get the last word up tomorrow hopefully.

Does it count if I have been at it for a few hours but haven't made a page I am playing around with my Mickey Font cartridge and the Sweetheart one. I actually did my first layered image today. I am not sure what you call it. I did Mickey and Minnie Mouse using the Mickey Font. Really basic but I am thinking I don't need anymore intricate cartridges anytime soon.

You girls are really motivating!! and impressive

This was my favorite too so I gave it a whirl.

I by chance had a few smaller pictures printed for this layout. I modified the sketch to use with my photos, because I do not print my own photos at home. This is what I came up with. I don't love it, but I don't hate it either

Safety pin made by Erin-LM3K in a swap, so have to give credit where credit is due. It fit perfectly with my colors and celebrate embellishment

Hey I started with the basic Mickey too then Pooh, then I did Princess(make those big) then I got into SCAL/inkscape - so see you are starting just like I did - so yes it counts
