So who is going this November???

We're heading down from Nov. 18-23! Staying at SSR! Can't wait!

...anyone ever been down during the week before Thanksgiving? What are crowds like? (we've been during Pres. week and x-mas week....so we're used to crowds)

We're there before you! We arrive the 4th, staying off property, and then the 6th to 12th at THV with my DD, her husband, her MIL, and Abby, and also our 2 DS. It's been a long wait since our May trip.

Well our paths just might cross a few times then, we're going to SSR from Nov 20-24th.

We did the same last year, had a 2br, Congress Park, DTD view. The weather was beautiful, the crowds low and the Christmas decorations fabulous! Make sure to go see the Osborne Family Lights at DHS!

We booked Concierge Level at AK from Nov 22-26 as it will be ours son's 13th birthday on Thanksgiving Day this year so thought we would make it a real special trip. We have the sunrise safari booked for Thanksgiving morning as a surprise!
Our very first DW trip in 2007 was the first week in December but we did not see the Osbourne light show so that it a must this time around.

We will be there but the length of stay depends on a wait list.

We'll be there the same days after a similar stay last year. The crowds weren't too bad initially, but grew each day leading up to Thanksgiving.

Heather - Sounds like you will be there same time as us. I am disappointed that the MK Fall decorations will be coming down while we are there. I really love those decorations. As far as I can tell they will only be up for 2 days after we check in and then they come down. But we really are looking forward to F&W, so I guess that will make up for it.

And I'll be in the world beginning November 4th at Kidani, moving to OKW on the 8th and staying through the 10th. I can't get reservations at any DVC resorts on the 11th so we're going to Coronado Springs that night. Then hopping back to Kidani for the 12th.

Hopefully one of my two waitlists comes through so we don't have as much moving to do.

We were there the week of Thanksgiving last year and the crowds are very small in the mornings and start picking up in the afternoon. I didn't notice huge crowds on Thanksgiving Day either.

We plan to be there again that same week. No idea where we will be staying as it is on DH's work....so we will take what we get. It is always one of the more deluxe hotels since they have more occupancy during that week, so just waiting to see where we will be staying. Other than that we are making our plans for how DD and I will play while DH works!

We arrive on Thanksgiving and are only staying 4 nights. Although we know it will be crowded it is really about the Christmas decorations and experiences in the parks. We are bringing guests for the first time as well. We are all very excited.

We'll be there 11/26 to 12/3. Can't wait! Our first time at SS-also our first time to see the Christmas decorations. I am hoping the weather will be beautiful

We are staying VWL from 20th to 26th. We went this same time about 5 years ago and it was a good time. as others have stated, the crowds build as the week goes by. we have AP's that expire on the 25th so we will get a bit more use out of them - at least that's what i told my DH

We will be arriving Nov. 20th and staying until the 28th at BWV, unless my waitlist for AKV comes through.

We've been quite a few times at Thanksgiving. While it is crowded, it's less than Christmas crowds!! It's usually very pleasant weather wise too. We enjoy going that week a bunch as it really kicks off our Christmas season seeing WDW decorated.

We are there the 10th-20th. 4 nights AKV, 6 nights BCV. We have been the week of the 12-18th or thereabouts the last two years. The week after F&W and before Thanksgiving. It's quiet, but the weekend starting Thanksgiving week is when we usually leave (this year Sunday the 20th), and there is a noticeable increase in crowds, but nothing crazy. I don't know when the bulk of the Thanksgiving crowds arrive, I'd guess your last day will be when a lot of people are arriving.

We have had great weather the last two years at that time. Two years ago it was warm every day, 80-85 basically every day. Last year it was a bit cooler, sweatshirts at night a few times, but generally it was 75 or so during the day, low humidity, and we did have a few hotter days. All in all, we love that time of year.
