We spend Christmas in Orlando every year visiting my parents, but this time we'll spend 3 days at the WL! 12/25-12/28 and I invited mom, dad, sis & bro to Christmas Dinner at Boma's.... It'll be our first Christmas staying onsite... I can't wait!

Well it is about 40 degrees here in Maine and I can not wait to get to WDW and warm up!! My family is all very excited-staying 12-23 to 12-30 at POP. I have my suitcases ready to pack. I am just afraid that I will forget something

Hi Cyndibelle, Well to start w/ as every1 knows, i went yesterday for surgery, to determine if they could do the stent for my legs, well after in surgery for 35 mins, they determined that the area for the stent(in my groin) AREA, IS IN THE CREASE, SO THEY CANNOT DO THE STENT, WILL HAVE TO DO A BY-PASS, WILL NO MORE NEXT WEEK. They put me off my feet for 7 days, cannot do nothing.
o.k., the surgery is bad enough, now mind you we leave for WDWin less than 18 days, yea, right, i don't see that happening, anyways my DH calls me @8;30 this morn, everyone at his place of work will lose their job at the end of Dec. He has only been there a little over 4 yrs., now i fixing to have major surgery, and if not done quickly we will not have any insurance, there is no way we will be able to afford the cobra plan.
So even if Doc says i can go to WDWin a whhel chair, how the hell can you go and have fun w/ all this hanging over your head!!There are 6 of us that have planned, paid for everything 10 months in advance.
Here's the amount i have already invested, not including what my daughter's family have contributed!!!
Flight for 4- adults and 2 kids
2- rms @ Pop Century
6 tickets to MVMCP for dec. 12th
6 4-day Park Hopper Plus tickets
6 tickets to Sea World
6 tickets to IOA
6 tickets to Universal
Pal Mickey
and every1 outfits to wear to MVMCP, plus other outfits
2sets of the mickey luggage
and over 400.00 worth of Food Vouchers
and more than i can list, I will never plan 10 months in advance for a Vacation ever again.
Don't know at this moment what to do, i have tried to talk w/ daughter to ask them to please go, but they want w/out Nana & Papa. She knows how hard and how bad i have wanted this trip, we have been waiting over 10 months, and then this, maybe something is trying to tell me not to go to Florida!!!!!!!!!

oh nana i am so sorry to hear your situation.....but you know..if everything is already paid for and the doc says you can go..i say go.............i mean yes things are happening..but you all have planned this and its all taken care of.....and and....well heck....things have been kinda crappy here too..not as crappy as you.....my sinuses are all messed up..i too have to have surgery..wanted to take me in asap..but i said nope ..i am going to disney....so i am scheduled for surgery right after christmas..dec 30.....on top of my horrible sinus infection i got bronchitis.......soooo....i am thinking..you know..what else....hang in there.....lots of huggs coming your way!!!!

After skatyeight months,hundreds of days and more hours than the timer can show,, Vacation is here,, On our way to Florida from the dreary North, early Holidays.... Enough dvd's inthe car for NON-STOP to anywhere. 2N at Treasure Island, 5@POR,2@AKL,2@Daytona,,, More than 20 hrs of recordable mini-dvd and a 1 G sd card, we should be able to play this back till our next trip ( 5 yrs since last) or just go more often to WDW and less other stuff,,, On our way from the Dreary NORTH.
