I just wanted to see who else might have a trip counter going that is as large as ours! We've never been to Disney during the Holidays and cannot contain our excitement for a trip that's 10 months away! I think I'm going to need a major support group by April considering how slow the counter has been moving.:(

We're right there with you!!!! It seems ridiculous that I'm basically obsessing about our Dec. trip!! ::yes::

In all the visits I've been to WDW, I have never gone at Xmas and I am SO excited! I don't know about you, but I check the mail everyday in hopes that there might be something from CRO! And, I'm fanatically checking these boards to get my daily escape and dream about being there!! Our toddlers even ask to watch the vacation planning video!!! :teeth:

Can't wait to be back in the World this Dec. And no, you are not alone! Maybe this is the start of our support group!! :teeth:

NO WAY, us too!!! Between the planning video, Nemo, Playhouse Disney and the 5 Disney songs cd's we have, that's pretty much all my 19 month old knows for entertainment! Every day in the car she listens to 2 songs, "Tiki Room" and the "Mickey Mouse March" over and over and over and over again!

The triple digits on the counter are agonizing! AND....we just got back on February 1! This is absolutely addictive.

We have been to WDW the last 2 years during xmas week, including NYE and day.(12/27-1/02/04, last year). Crowds are unbeleivable, but the decorations and special shows make it so worthwhile. We spent NYE at epcot for 2003 and MGM for 2004. Just keep in mind that you may have to change your touring strategies if you are usually there at a slow time. As soon as we returned Jan 2004, we started planning for dec 2004. Because we drive from Boston and the holidays are on Saturday this year, we are staying from 12/26-12/31/04 and will miss NYE at WDW! It's better than no holiday time at all! You will just love it!

I agree with the above responce. We went for the first time during xmas last year and WOW the crowds were huge. Some waits were 200minutes or more.

But if you've been there before my recommendations would be to just enjoy the decorations and the parks and don't worry too much about getting on the major attractions.

The music and decorations are wonderful including many special holiday shows.

Needless to say we will also be there for next xmas as long as my kids want to do it. They grow up way too fast for me.

We too are on the countdown for our Christmas trip (Dec 16-23) We spend countless hours scheduling, talking about where to eat, etc. We are a little obsessed too :) So you are not alone!! We haven't ever been to Disney with kids so the excitement about taking our girls and going at Christmas is enough to make us crazy! It's gonna be a long 10 months!

we were planning on going the week before christmas but we have bumped it up to the first week of december so we will be there dec 3-11...i cant stand it.....we just got back on the 8th of february...and i wanna be back there right now...i say this is it..it is time for an official support group othewise we arent gonna make it.....we gotta stick together..let each other know when news comes out on the shows etc....we have only been to disney once and well once just isnt enough for me..so twice is better..twice in one year is much better....and well i gots lots of time to make up for...........is everyone saving their pennies...nickles...dimes...oh geesh..every last spare bit of change they find OBESESSIVELY like i am..... my hubby just laughs at me......................

We'll be there the beginning of Dec (the 2nd through the 10th). Thankfully I have another trip first, so it won't be such a long wait.

We will be there 18 Dec to 3 Jan 2005 and then on to the big boat The Magic for a 4 day cruise:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Hey horner5...and everyone else!!!

You made me laugh about your kids requests for everything Disney!!! We watch all the sing along song videos, Playhouse Disney, and only the Toy Story soundtrack and Michael Crawford Disney CD in the car. I swear that I try to listen to other things, but that's all they want to hear! It's like the chicken and the egg thing.. What came first....Mom's Disney obsession rubbing off on the kids, or were they born with it??? :teeth:

We just got back from Disneyland in CA in Mid-Jan. and immediately I started planning our Dec. trip to WDW. My DH was giving me all kinds of grief b/c we weren't even back 2 days and I was already planning. When I was a kid, our parents took us every other year and my DH promised we'll do the same. Problem is....I need to go every year. How do I convince him??? :(

Okay everyone....should we get a Dec. support group thread started??? Ha! ha!!!

hi i am cyndi and i have a problem.....................come on...jump in....:Pinkbounc

Me too!! I've become verrrry obsessive about our trip from Nov 27
thru dec5!! We've been to D-land before during the holidays but never WDW!!! I can't wait until we get there!

I've never been during Christmas before but we are usually there during very busy times so I hope the crowds don't bother us too much. We will be at the Swan from December 27- 31. We have never been to the Swan so we are looking forward to it.

My Wife and I will be there Dec. 3 to Dec.11 celebrating our 20th anniversary.
First trip without our daughter who will be starting college in Sept.
I also look at these boards daily.
We will be at the Polynesian.

I don't even want a counter. :( I can't believe how much I'm obsessed with every detail of a trip that is 10 months away!!

We've never been during the actual holiday, and I just plain can't wait. I'm planning lots of resort time. :bounce: :Pinkbounc

The family and I went down for our first holiday visit this past December. We loved it!!! The decorations were wonderful, and the kids loved MVMCP and the parade. There's just that added extra magical feel about being down there for the holidays I just can't describe it. You definitely have to experience it for yourself.

Even traveling around to all the resort hotels to see their individual decor is an adventure in itself.

I wish we were going back this Christmas, but...have to get the last trip before the AP's expire.

Hi, my name is Patti, and I am obsessed with my WDW trip that won't happen for nine months, four days, and seven hours. (told ya!)

I have wonderful friends, a great family, and they have no idea how to handle me!!! The DIS is my only outlet!!!

Please accept me into the support group...I can't lurk for nine months!!!!! LOL!!!!

BTW---at least some of you live where people can understand and appreciate your obsession! I live out west, and almost NOBODY gets it!!!

Patti

I am already excited about our Christmas trip and we haven't even gone on our spring break one yet. We're staying at POR. I can't wait to see all the Christmas decorations. This is a short trip (5 nights) because my mom would die if we weren't home to do all the traditional Christmas stuff!

 welcome patti....yes the obession is too much to bear sometimes..i know how you feel.....it is just overwhelming....i just keep coming here and reading ..and looking at my pictures from our last trip and talking about it and driving my hubby crazy ...and ..oh geesh...the time is going so slow..isnt it even summer yet....:hyper:

TOTALLY! How depressing and wrong is it for me to wish away summer when we still have a foot of snow on the ground and I can't stand winter! I can't believe I am hoping I will wake up tomorrow and it will be September or October.

I don't care about the crowds-in fact, I think it might be pretty cool to see all these people in the holiday spirit. I just can't wait to see all of the decorations and the extra Disney magic that awaits us...in 10 months. Ugh!
