So who else is "ho-hum" about the GF Villas?

Does anyone have an idea how long of a walk it is gonna be from the DVC villas to the monorail station at the Grand Floridian?

Not far, less than the walk from BLT to the MK and since GF is the last stop on the monorail circuit, next stop is the MK.

To me, this is the deal breaker on DVCGF. I was under the impression that you could walk from GF to MK. Apparently you can not. The conveinience of the monorail will be key. I love BLT. You can hop on a boat to WL, or stroll to the MK. It is not the prettiest DVC, buy my favorite. I love how they don't shove Mickey and Minnie down your throat at BLT.

What happens during EMH? If I understand correctly, the monorail closes 1 hour after regular park closing. Therefore, if you want to stay for EMH at MK, those at BLT can walk home and what about those who stay at GF? Do they have to wait for a bus or do they all line up for that little boat that does the circuit to GF and Poly? I certainly love the convenience of BLT!!

True, the difference is the return trip after, such as after Wishes. You may be in your room at BLT before you even board a monorail, then you have 3 stops and the walk back to your room yet. Did they also stop the monorail during EMH evenings?
