Surprised some enterprising individual hasn't started advertising 14 day cruise cabins on E Bay they have reserved
I know they can't be transferred over to someone else's name but it wouldn't surprise me if someone tried.... Perhaps a TA could retain the cabin but doubt they'd be able to change the name and amount to charge the new customer.

Hmmm Scalping repositioning cruise cabins... Now that would have been a way to make a real quick buck...

I have 2 reservations at the early booking rate. One of them a cat 11 room for 2 adults at $3121 for the FL to CA the other a cat 9 for $4121 that I'm going to use. I think it would be wrong to try to profit from my indecision; which is why I have 2 reservations.

If I can, I intend to transfer the cat 11 reservation to another DISer at no profit to me. (And someone has already asked.)

BTW, I love your signature photo. It inspired me to take this photo on my Feb 28, 04 Western. Note that in my photo, the ship was pulled straight in at CC. I built my by taking about a dozen pictures at 50mm and then stitching together. I was sitting on the life preserver storage box on the port side of Palo. The original is 11 x 48.

I intend to take the photo again; next time with a tripod and polarizing filter.

It was more intended as a joke for the high price I was quoted for the CA cruise.

I'm kidding re someone doing it on here, but if they sell luggage tags on ebay, why not cabins I have 400 luggage tags in every colour and character all ready for Christmas

Hey, I'm all for the luggage tags!

I also look at ebay as a chance to sell to someone who probably has lost all hope of ever finding something. (From many years past, etc.) Usually, people find bargains! (Myself included! ) So please, no flames anyone. I think this is meant in fun!

I remember when someone was trying to sell reservations to Cinderella's Royal Table on ebay. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if those same type of people were scalping cruise cabins!

If you read the fine print, you'll see it's not an actual cabin for a specific sailing. The agency is Ethan Allen, an American Express affiliated TA in San Francisco. They've booked a few cabins on a variety of CA sailings. The $1399 is just the "lead in" price for the first person sailing. Basically, it's just a cheap way for them to "advertise" what Disney is doing.

They've also ran an ad in today's San Francisco Chronicle Travel section adversiting CA Disney cruises starting at $1399 per person.
