So when should we go/what will December 2016 look like?

Sorry, I know I could research this but though I'd consult with the experts first.

We haven't visited the actual parks for several years, and would like to visit again when the refurbs are largely out of the way.

Our favorite time is Christmas though, and we don't really want to wait until December 2017!

What will December 2016 look in terms of ride closures etc., or should we absolutely wait until 2017 to get the most out of our trip?

BTM is rumoured to be open on Dec 17th, star tours will still be closed, but most other things will be open. The next round of closures is expected from January, Space Mountain and Pirates. (I expect that's why they are doing Star wars season in the studios) Lots of the refurb of adventureland, the castle and Fantasia gardens looks like it's almost finished now. Go for it! Have fun planning - where are you planning on staying?

Thank you, that sounds perfect....last ride on the original Pirates before the upgrade is another reason to go as well!

There'll be at least 5 of us, so will be the DCR as per usual.

Hopefully the DCR restaurant and pool refurb there will be complete by December as well?
