We have alot going on right after christmas ,so our will probly come down the 26th. If i had my way it would be the 25th. I'm so sick of the cats getting into it and i have to ready to demolish my kitchen so i just want things put away. How about you guys?

We usually keep it up for about a week after new years.

We will take it down probably sooner than later. We have to get christmas cleaned up we leave for our Disney trip on the 2nd. So I have to clean it all up put it all away and pack for 7 people for 8 days. We have 3 trees to do.

I have been known to take it down on Christmas Evening, but since the kids and I are on vacation the next week, it will go down sometime the middle of next week.

The tree removal is part of our New Year's Day ritual. We watch the parade, then lay out snacks to graze on. DW packs the ornaments while I take down the outside lights, then I take down the tree. Usually, we're done in two days.

Epiphany. Though last year I was pregnant and husband no longer lived at home, so I had him take it down before he went back to work out of state. Back to the tradition this year, unless he surprises me and puts things away early.

Traditionally, New Year's Day. The last couple of years though, we stayed busy that day and any days between New Year's and my going back to work so sometimes it would be the second or third weekend in January.

This year I am determined to get it down on New Year's Day.

Epiphany. That is the official end of Christmas....and by then, I am ready to get the house back to normal!

Either the 27th or 28th, my birthday is the 30th and I like for it to be all cleaned up.

Likely New Years weekend.....For us, Christmas is really just starting on the 25th and not ending.

New Year's Eve or New Year's Day.

This year, I have to work on New Year's Day, so it will be on NYE.

We do live trees, and put them up very early, so by New Year's, they are dead. :faint: Deader than a doornail, as old Scrooge would put it.

We also don't do the whole 12 Days of Christmas/Epiphany thing, so to my house, when New Year's hits, the Christmas season is OVER. Get all the crap down, pack it away, :woohoo: bring on Valentines Day and the seed catalogs!!! :woohoo: Yeah, I'm kind of all done with Xmas this year.

(It doesn't help that I have spent the last week unpacking Valentine's Day and Spring merchandise at work - most of the inside of JoAnn's looks like April.)

Whatever day the kids go back to school.

Sometime before DS's birthday on the 30th. I'm ready for it to be gone on the 26th, just because it makes our family room very crowded. Some of my decorations are more winter themed than Christmas, so those stay out a little longer.

We tend to take ours down pretty quick. We put it up early though -- before Thanksgving usually (although it doesn't get decorated until after that). By Christmas, I'm ready to take it down.

I'll admit it --- sometimes my tree if up until Martin Luther King Day! I love my Christmas tree and wish I could leave it up all year.

We put it up the day after Thanksgiving so by Christmas I am a little sick of it. If it were up to me, it would be done on the 26th. But sometime the week after Christmas. We are having a NYE party and I want them down before that (we have 2 trees).

We leave for Disney on the 8th and I want to be able to start packing on the 26th - but I have to have the Christmas stuff cleared out of the way in the attic to get to my suitcases :)

Probably the 28th. Our tree is live and I don't think enough was cut off the bottom when we bought it (didn't cut our own this year) so it was toast about a week after we got it. :headache:

We can't even walk past it without needles raining down, so it's it's coming down as soon as we get back from Christmas.

Taking my tree down on the 25th or 26th would be so sad. The holiday season isn't even over.

We keep it up until after New Years and they we start undecorating.
