So when do we find out the specfics?

That is, when do we find out more specifically about where we're working? I requested Adventureland/Liberty Square in Magic Kingdom and Future World in Epcot, but currently all I know is that I work Attractions. Do we just find out when we get down there?

Yep, you find out (in your case) which attraction you will be working when you go to casting, once you get down there.

To clarify, you don't find out your ATTRACTION when you arrive, just your area. Your attraction will be told to you a few days later.

At casting you are told which land you will be working at. You will not learn specifically which ride or position you will be working on till orientation which happens a couple days after casting.

My DD was told during the 'walk around' at MK with all the other new CP's in her area. The manager took the bunch of them around to see all the attractions (she was assigend to Adventureland/Liberty Square), and as they went, he would tease the group with 'who do you suppose will be assigned to this attraction?' and stuff like that. She was on pins and needles the whole time, because she was hoping upon hope, and sure enough, at almost the very end of the day, he revealed that she was assigned to HM. She burst into tears - happy tears!
