So when did they get rid of the keyed gate entry at FW?

I was surprised that the old gates (by where you exit) were no longer there....and at the security booth...they had a keyed entrance, but it was blocked off.

Last time I was there they changed the card swiper to where the security guard is. It looks like they changed out the one that was near the exit parking lot.

I know we saw a man hit that swiper with the side of his rv at thanksgiving time and ripped his window out and tore up some siding. I felt really bad for him. I wonder if others have hit it too and they're making another change.

During MLK weekend it was back and forth..Sometimes you had to go to the right of the gate, other times it was the left where the swipe card was at one time and the guard would just open it up for you...

The first time we went through the updated entrance way I felt there was going to be problems. They can't have check-in traffic pass by the guard shack on the right and have returning guests pass the shack on the left, bad traffic flow. Also with big rigs entering on the right there is the swing problem and people have hit the shack.

I am surprised that the entrance has not been taken care of since the change was in the middle of last year I believe.

I really like the new exit route. Noticed the new gates and saw the signs covered with garbage bags early last year. With the new bus stop and flow pattern for the busses it is much, much better.

You would think after the guard shack and the post getting hit they could at least widen the road some. I saw the sheriff's office out there one day because a big rig hit the shack pretty bad.

I could swear the buses used to go in that route too. Do they now go in the gates over by the overflow lot? Makes sense I'm sure to keep them out of the main entrance lanes.

The 1st time we went where you swipe your room key card I didn't know you did that so we pulled up and my daughter showed the man the dash pass. He said sir you can use your room key from now on. I had no idea but now I do. It's tricky getting in there and I feel for the people who's vacation get's off like that when it would be easy to fix. Just my .02

Ths busses now enter the overflow lot, go straight for about 150 yards and take the first left and then go through the gate for busses only.

This past weekend, the left lane was closed most of the time. It was only open when 2 guards were on duty. The card reader is gone. Guard told me that it had been run over twice by RV's coming in, and that now she is the card reader!
