I'm sure every user on here has a reason for picking the name they did. So lets her why everyone picked their username.

Oglet goes back to my childhood, it is a nickname that was given to my sister and I by playing off our surname, they called us Oglets.

The first part is the nickname my dad gave me. The second part is my class year--Fightin' Texas Aggie Class of '97 (although I put the whole year).

when I was born, my dad called me a little "smidgeon" . all my family and old friends call me smidge or smidgy. didn't even know my real name until I was about 6. ( my grandpa was the pastor of our church, I attended the 4 room elementary school, so hardly anyone called me Diane until high school (and even then, hardly anyone) my hubby calls me diane, as do most people I know now, but old frineds and all my family call me smidge or smidgy, including my garndkids.

ps unfortunately, the name no longer.. um.. "fits":rotfl:

Some areas of the country are familiar with the Piggly Wiggly supermarkets. Well, I work for the company and my Dis name comes from our mascot.

Name of my beloved, lazy, purred when we gave him injections, late, lamented feline. But truth be told the name pre-dated the cat. Yes, I named my cat after my screen name, which came from a cow from the movie "Cold Comfort Farm". DH and I would joke that we would name our firstborn Feckless. We compromised on the cat. :rotfl:

well mines pretty boring, it's my favorite college football team (Wolverines!!!) and 10 because I think that was the year I made my email, so I used the same name for my email, DIS account, and Playstation Network screen name (I'm so creative aren't I? :lmao:)

The year I joined the DIS my oldest DD was going to national finals and it was at CSR. We were making it our first total Disney vacation...staying onsite and doing only WDW stuff. She was also performing as part of the Magic Music Days program.

So...my DD was a competitive dancer and we were 'dancin' Disney style' that summer.

So glad you asked ....

So, I was on the boards for years and changed my name about 2 years ago for various reasons. Anyway, had to think fast and having just had a baby and getting no sleep I put on Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. :surfweb: I heard "Meeska Mooska Mickey Mouse. Ok, so I knew I wanted that as a name -- googled it and Mishka Mushka was the first spelling I saw (again, I hadn't slept in about 2 months so the thought of doing multiple searches escaped me) I was just happy that it was available.

Later I find out that the correct spelling is MEESKA MOOSKA but now I'm stuck with this -- and I've joined other boards since with it so now I am used to it. Oh well.

Many years ago, when AOL was cutting-edge technology :rotfl: I built a website for my then-upcoming class reunion. Our high school was MHS and our graduating year was 1979, so the website was built as "MHSweb79."

Not really sure why I kept it, but I also use this moniker on TwOP. (Hi to any Amazing Race fans! :wave2: )

I am retired from the US Merchent Marine ,so not skippering the ships anymore and now its just my 1954 Chris Craft Sea Skiff named *Tonka*:cool1:

AKK

In college my future DH called me honeymo in jest because one day he said I' be his money h* and take care of him. His joke nickname stuck and the 78 is the year I was born.
