Just got back from Universal. Our guide book (The Unofficial Guide) RAVED about Terminator 2. Basically said that it was the best attraction in all of Florida, and that you'd get your money's worth if that was the only ride you went on.

***?

DH and I both thought it was incredibly lame. I would have dozed off if it weren't for the loud effects.

My kids, 12 & 10, were equally unimpressed.

But about 1/3 of the audience broke out in spontaneous applause at the end.

I don't get it - it can't even be a "guy" thing, b/c DH loved the movie and is of course a "guy" (well, these days, maybe there is no "of course" about that!)

what do y'all think of T2?

It's not my favourite but I think it is pretty good.

I think it is good and DH loves it. We both think BTTF is lame though.

not bad actually....just WAY too long of a pre-show....ughhhh

I thought the actors "in person" in it was very well done.

I like it because I think it's well done. It mixes live action with 3-D, which is why so many people like it.

My family thinks it's just "okay". I also can't see why it gets these rave reviews. I went a second time just to make sure that I wasn't missing anything...it turns out that I wasn't.

I like it ok, but think it is way too LOUD! I think I could enjoy it much more if they would tone it waaaaay down. I skipped it last time we were there because I didn't feel like holding my ears throughout the show!

I think it's okay. My dad loves it though. He's a BIG fan of the movies!! :) Sometimes he'll go to T2 when my mom and I watch the GB Shows!

I missed the fascination with it also, but then perhaps it was over-hyped with those I was travelling with. They were talking about the huge cloud of smoke and all the effects and blah blah blah.... well it came time for the smoke cloud and it dribbled out like a slow fog that quickly disappated and didn't even make it 5 rows back.

its cool...not my favorite. i used to be terrified of it when i was younger. i think our pre show host was rather lame...too bubbly...but its alright....once a trip is plenty for me...and only if i've got FOTL...

otherwise...i book it straight to BTTF and MIB

I liked it but I thought there was too much movie and not enough other action. My 10 year old son loved it but then he thinks that the Terminator is incredibly cool. I loved how the bike came out of the screen and went back in. Excellent timing.

We love it - but then I'm a huge fan of 3D.

Our family thinks T2 is a good attraction, but not great. We prefer others in USF more, particularly MIB, BTTF, and Shrek. Of course, I am sure we will also prefer ROTM more as well.
I also prefer (now, don't flame me) Twister! I guess it comes from living in Kansas and all. I like to get in the front row, right in the middle bump out area, and just stick my head as far out as possible. With the "rain" and "wind" hitting me in the face, it feels just like some of our thunderstorms that we see F0's and F1's come from. A twister bearing down on you is the ultimate "thrill ride" if you know what they are really like.

I like it, but it's not the best attraction in Florida....Spiderman is.... :p
