So what's so great about the CHI flat iron?

You know I bought one because that is what they use at the salon to flat iron mine and thought I would have the same results. Not even close and it is the exact same model and I use the same products they do. SO I have just given up and when I want my really curly hair to be straight I just go and let them do it.

I have short hair that I'm growing from a pixie into that angled bob 'do, it is already straight. I think an flat iron would make it look more finished, the curling iron is making it look too rounded. What size would you recommend?
