I'm waiting and waiting, stuck at work.

What's new, folks?

Help!

The pin today is It's A Small World. Sorry, I don't have a picture. It's 500 credits.

TY! OK, so no Pan hat.

Hmmm. Interesting.

Pin is nice. i was hoping for either new tomorrowland quests so we can get our two star car magic and red space suit. and i was also hoping for the DLR park quests to arrive at the park since i am going this weekend. But i guess i will just miss them. oh well.

Thanks Stephen. For some reason, I can see the pics you post! Must be that WDWInfo website that the Navy likes! I'll have to remember that!

Having been to the parks twice in the past month, I wouldn't have been surprised.

Sorry about missing the Park Quests, Antie. But just remember you're not alone in your disappointment.

If there is one thing that I am constantly disappointed with the VMK Staff, it is their lack of attention to DLR Quests. We have TWO, and neither of them are rather exciting (WDW still has the Thrill Seekers Quest, no?). And the fact that NOTHING changed from March 3rd to April 15th, makes me lose faith in the game. They weren't even able to get the Season Cards out. Here I was, thinking I'd MISS the Winter Card because I was going in March. Silly me to expect so much. Now I'm quite sure we're going to miss the Spring Card as well.

And I hate to go back to the whole "expecting things in Newsletters," but didn't Yavn say he'd have more news on the Tomorrowland Quest this past Monday?

All I want, VMK team, is an apology for missing some of these deadlines, as opposed to promising and then pretending like you never did. Just come open with the dedicated gamers: tell us that something came up and that the quests have been delayed. It's as easy as that!

I'm sorry, rant over...

(and don't say this game is free, because it sure ain't:

Premium AP: $359
Rooming at the GC: $1000
Rooming at the Radisson: $600
Pirate Pin Packs: $200

Over $2000 dollars on this game?)

I have to disagree with you. The game is free. If they started to
charge me a monthly fee, I would stop playing. I never joined Toontown
simply because well, I'm cheap (or prioritize my moolah - I'd spend money on
books vs. online games.)

I'd also say that VMK also did its job VERY well, if you're spending your
moolah to go to the parks. But I have to ask, Pirate Pin Packs aside, would
you still be spending money to go to the parks if VMK didn't exist?

I do. Heck, I prepaid for my vacations for the next 40 years.

If the only reason to go to the parks was VMK, I'd have to prioritize that
aspect of my life. too. VMK simply put, is a heckuva great marketing tool.
When I see posts like yours, I am convinced.

But I have to whine about one thing:

I never got to 'drive' the troop transport on the Indy ride at Disneyland. <pout>

Sorry to hear you're so disappointed.

As for the game being free, yes it is. Any money you spent has been because you wanted to. Yavn and team are not standing over you with a gun telling you to spend money. You also don't have to pay any money just to log in other than your usual internet fees.
I haven't paid out even one penny and I still enjoy the game. I also still have managed to get most quest items one way or another.

Sorry, but I don't see where Yavn owes you anything.

On topic: I like the pin. It's cute. While I do hope to see the pan hat come back out, I'm not holding my breath. ;)

we are going to WDW in May, and hopefully the quest will be active by then, we also have additional family members going, with old park passes, and they will have to purchase additional passes, so, if possible ,i may have 5 extra sets of quest cards!!!
any one willing to trade when i get home!
keep me in mind:)

BeBe,

It is my understanding that VMK Central no longer accepts expired passes any more. You'd have to verify this with someone here who lives near the parks and knows what is and isn't working. It used to depend on whom was on duty, but I believe it's being consistently enforced.
