So, what's in your bag?

Our last trip was the first time that neither DH or I carried a backpack. FREEDOM!!!

I found a nylon, water resistent cell phone case with a carabiner clip to attached to a belt loop or lanyard. It was just big enough to carry my iPhone, AP, driver's license, health insurance card, room key, lip balm, and a little cash.

It was GREAT!!! :thumbsup2

For two adults, ages 23 (me) and 31 (DH), we used one small $6 waterproof backpack from Wal-Mart. It was perfect for us, and we packed:

*Sunscreen
*Small first aid kit with bandaids, neosporin, tylenol, and dramamine. (We never needed the bandaids/neosporin. I expect that's something more likely to be needed with kids, but it fit in the kit easily enough, so I'd carry it again)
*Two emergency ponchos from camping section at Wal-Mart (extremely cheap and flimsy. The wind blew them all over us to the point that they weren't really helping much. Next time, I'd look for a higher quality poncho that hopefully is compact)
*DH's wallet
*Camera (small digital in a little case with extra batteries)
*Fan/mister (I would have DIED without these items. Absolutely essential for me.)
*One cell phone
*Autograph book and pen (for me :) )

We still had room to put our hats, sunglasses, and my Minnie ears in the bag when we got on rides.

sunscreen & chap stick
bandaids
water bottles
glow sticks
a snack

I had my boys carry their own bags that had
water bottles
autograph books and pens
a snack

I have a very small across chest wallet-type purse, which I carry:

Cell phone
KTTK card, credit card and little cash
Drivers license
Band aid
eye drops (contacts)
Moleskin - precut (this has SAVED me in the past)
little pill case with whatever pain relever, imodium, or medicine we need
handwipes
couple of folded paper towels (this has also saved me too!)
Cell phone
lip balm
Sunglasses
Mini-fan clipped to purse

DH carries the very small camera case with camera and extra batteries (camera and fans) with his cell phone and his mini-fan clipped.

If we go during a really hot time, someone usually ends up with the water-bottle strap and and water....I always pack the strap just in case so I don't have to buy a whole new one.

Well I carry a fanny pack at the parks for easy access to cash, tickets, lip balm, glasses, phone. It's easier than a purse. I also bring something I don't normally carry around and that's a portable emergency kit. It has simple things like band aids, gauze pad, antibiotic ointment, sterile wipes. This has come in handy for kids' scraped knees and such.

For larger items, my DH carries a backpack. In that is our camera, snacks, antibacterial wipes, water bottle, and usually several stuffed animals, t-shirts and other misc. souvenirs. Our kids are older so we don't need a change of clothes any more. HTH

Camera, wallet, sunscreen, glasses, journal, pens, phone, brush, sanitizer, wipes, poncho, bottle of water. . .

I carry a small backpack purse. Inside you will find:

Refillable water bottle
Travel wallet w/key card and ID
Digital Camera
Cell phone
Travel packs of band-aids, advil and pepto chewables
Travel pack of handi-wipes
Lip balm, lipstick, powder compact and an extra hair tie/barrette
Small travel umbrella
Sunglasses
A pen, notepad, some tissues or extra napkins and some eye drops for contacts.

My girlfriend and I still travel light while we still can (no kids... that I know of :rolleyes1). I carry my wallet with both of our ID's and KTTW, cash, small digital camera, and cell phone. It's nice not having to worry about leaving your bag somewhere or waiting on the extra line just so the bad can be searched or the strain of just carrying something for 12 hours. :cool1:

we are downsizing ALOT this next trip in April..we are staying at the POLY so we can use the monorail...we are not taking in a stroller for dd4 (she never rode in it last trip) and no backpack just my swingpack for keys and phones! My dd4 walked the whole time last trip so we ended up pushing a empty stroller and parking it and finding it afterwards..a big pain lol so we are not taking anything in this time..
