So what was the deal they called me about today?

I got a call from member services today. They said they were offering a special 25th anniversary deal on Poly and Aulani and were wondering if I was interested. I said I wasn't and she wished me a magical day. But now I'm left wondering, what deal was it they were offering? Was it really anything special?

Also, that was just about the least pushy sales call I have ever had. Great job on that account DVC!

10% more points if you buy at least 100 points although it's tiered so not always 10% for every purchase. There's a couple other threads on it.

in 16 years I never had my guide call me about to add on points. Sometimes she will call when I had a Disney trip that was coming up very soon and talk a couple minutes about my vacation but never about points. I'm sure the reason for the calls were to tell her I wanted more points. But for having them call just to tell you about the deal isn't right.

When they closed the sales center at BWV, more points became available because of the rooms added. My guide called me and asked if I would be interested. I said no.

When my guides changed, I have received calls to introduce themselves. They didn't come right out and ask about adding points but they were feeling around. Like the last time the new guide asked if I ever thought about going to Hawaii.

In 16 years, I've never had a guide call about my upcoming vacation. The call about the new BWV points was left as a voice mail on my work phone while I was at WDW! She didn't know I was there on points!

I get emails occasionally from my guide (like when GFV and Poly went on sale), but never or email (let alone phone call) about any promotions. I kind of like it that way!

I would have bought a companion fixed week with this deal except fixed weeks are excluded from the offer.

I really have to wonder why because so few guaranteed weeks are selling at Poly that I wouldn't think it should matter to them how I used the discount.

Oh well, one less $25K sale...
