Looked at menu for CRT and list root mash - what is in it - is this just a fancy name for mashed potatoes? :confused3

probably different root veggies - maybe turnips and rutebegas? yum

And I thought I was the only one on the planet that loves them! Ya gotta admit, not everyones favorite! Glad to see they have them at CRT as I have ADR for Sept. Norway used to have them before the princess invasion. :teeth:

It might be/include celery root, which is often eaten sliced or mashed as a lower carb potato substitute. At least that's what I thought of when I read "root mash". Maybe someone who has eaten there will post.

I don't remember exactly, but I thought it was a combo of "regular" potatoes and some other "root" veggies such as turnips, carrots, sweet potato etc. all mashed together.

I do remember that it was tasty!

I especially love them roasted :cool1:

Just curious as to how you roast them. What size chunks do you cut? Do you boil first? Just butter in the roasting pan or do you roast with a piece of meat? I've always done them the old-fashioned Finnish way. Boiled em (or pressure cooker), mashed them up with butter, cream, drop of molasses, s&p, and broiled the top until brown.

As long as its not POI! :YUCK:
