I lurk over at the 2Peas Swap board-for ideas and stuff. I have been away and just checked in last night and saw the post that it will be shut down later this week. What in the world happened??

Come on gals- I want details!!!

It was getting kindof ugly over there, lots of flakers and grumpy people! Someone had threatened to sue Pea so she contacted a lawyer and decided it would be in her best interest to just shut down the swap board (and the For Sale or Trade) board to avoid all the ugly emails she was getting. Too bad, it was a really fun place to swap...I had only had great luck with the swaps I was in! Im not sure why it had to get so ugly!

I can't blame them, everytime I wandered in there it was getting really ugly and people were getting lots of hate mail and stuff - I can't understand why people get so worked up about stuff, it's supposed to be fun!

Get out! Were people not happy with the stuff the got back? Glad I never got into swaps over there! Everyone here is so nice!

That is too bad about them closing the site down...I also loved looking at the pages there...some of them gave me great ideas for pages!

the site hasn't closed, just 2 of the boards where they had the most problems.

The gallery and the general scrapping boards are still there (as well as others that I don't read, so I can't remember the names of them)

I think for the most part, everyone was happy with the items they were getting back, but I did read a few threads where the hostess had actually sent items back to the swappers asking them to re-do their items! How awful! I would crawl in a hole if someone sent my items back!!! I think the main problem was people posting rude comments etc....sometimes not even swap related, and then there were a few hostesses that collected the items, and the return postage and then just kept everything! That kindof scared me, made me a little leery of sending in swaps --it can get really costly making things, paying to ship and sending return postage! I think most of the swappers have moved to another site called lifetime moments. Too bad, I liked 2 peas! The general scrapping board etc. is still there tho.
