So what does everyone think about the new Cash Duck?

I wasn't doing much on Cash Duck right before it closed but now that it's back open I've seen a few trials there that I haven't seen on any other sites I use and I've made a lot of feathers already I also think it's great that Kira added the team aspect to benefit charities. I hope everything works out for her this time around

I'm hopeful, but scared of accidentally doubling an offer. However, some of her payouts are better than SR, so I'll probably do some offers,

I plan on jumping back in there. SR has always been my main one, but I really liked Cash Duck over Quick Rewards. I just need to take some time to go through and make sure I don't duplicate offers.

Did anyone see Kira's reply about Quackers coming back? She had said before that people were cheating it. I figured people had somehow figured out how to play more than once per week. Her reply now though makes it seem like she thinks you were cheating if you chose the feathers instead of the prize. When given the choice I took the feathers everytime mainly because I don't need a bunch of rubber ducks sitting around. I guess I am a cheater in her eyes.

Yes, I saw her response and it kind of rubbed me the wrong way too. Actually, she didn't use the word "cheating" in the response I read but she did say that many were "abusing" it by "milking" it for free feathers each week rather than choosing the "cool" prizes. I didn't realize that it was considered abusing it if we made a choice other than the prize. I assumed she gave us the choice because we could choose either the prize or the feathers, whichever one we wanted. I didn't realize that we were really only supposed to choose the prize.

Yeah, this time it said abusing. The "cheating" part was in a post or blog before she closed down in Aug. I even remember thinking at the time how awful it was that people were doing something tricky to get more than their share. I didn't know it was referring to me because I had made a choice that she gave me! I think she bought a bunch of stuff with ducks on it and then most people wanted the feathers to get gift cards. Then she was stuck with a house full of duck merchandise. I'll try the daily surveys but I don't think I'll do anything else at CD. I started with SR after CD closed up and have found the whole experience to be pleasant. I'd rather give them my "business" at this point.

I'm surprised by this, too. I always took the feathers as they were an option and I was saving for Disney Dollars. I didn't need rubber ducks, post its and the other stuff. If she didn't want people to take the feathers she shouldn't have offered them as prizes.

If you click Members on side menu, then Feather Prizes on top menu, that will show you what you can cash out for feathers.

Example:
$100 Check
A one hundred dollar check with your name on it.
feathers: 2000

$50 GC to Target, Walmart or Disney
Get a $50 gift certificate to your choice of Disney, Target or Walmart.
feathers: 775

$25 GC to Target, Walmart or Disney
Get a $25 gift certificate to your choice of Disney, Target or Walmart.
feathers: 400

$5 Disney Dollars
Good only at Disney locations. You may receive $10 bills if more than one is ordered.
feathers: 75

There are lots of other gc available, above is just an example.

Thanks for the info above! I'll have to look the site over more closely and try to actually ABSORB what I'm reading- . I think the way the feathers have differing values depending on how you "Cash" them in is rather confusing (to me anyway). I like to look at an offer before I start it and ask myself, "Is this worth X amount of dollars?" Hard to do that with the variable feather value.
I've also been doing SR exclusively since CD closed. I've only been doing the freebies lately, though, no trial offers where you need a credit card. Would it matter if you accidentally duplicated a freebie? (by freebie, I mean the ones where you enter your zip code or email addy)
As far as the daily surveys go.............hmmmm, I can honestly say I have NEVER qualified for even ONE! Very disappointing to take the time go thru the preliminary questions and enter your info, just to be told you don't qualify. No credit given if you don't qualify = a total waste of time. I don't even bother anymore.

I think they'll forgive a few duplications, but obvious misuse is what they won't stand for.

I know what you mean about the feathers, I was trying to figure it out also.

I figured it to this...so whatever the offer is just multiply the feathers by the cents, which is about on par with other sites.

$25 / 400 feathers = .0625 cents per feather...20 feathers from the 2 daily surveys = $1.25

$50 / 775 feathers = .0645 cents per feather...20 feathers from the 2 daily surveys = $1.29

For the daily surveys...if you're lucky enough to qualify both every day can be about $38/month, add that to freebies and if you do trials, then can be good.

I did get credit for the 2 surveys I took Saturday, so that will be nice if I qualify enough. It is a pain sometimes, I just keep trying and trying. Sometimes actually unclicking things on your demographics will help. You can try more than one time per day to qualify, you just can't complete / get credit more than once (per survey site). So if it tells me I don't qualify, I close it, try again.

I was doing some math too, but I figured it in the reverse:

In the case of a $25 gift card, 16 feathers would be worth $1
$50 gc- 15.5 feathers would be worth $1
$5 Disney Dollars- 15 feathers would be worth $1
$100 check= 20 feathers would be worth $1


Can I ask what you meant by "unclicking things on your demographics"? Good to know that you can try again if you don't qualify. I didn't think you could. If I think I'll have a better chance of qualifying, I will give them another shot.
PS- I just noticed your tag referring to Love's Baby Soft! Too Funny- I have about 1/2 inch left in a spray bottle that must be close to 30 yrs old. I don't spray it, but every once and a while I lift the cap and take a sniff.............takes me back!

Unclicking things in your demographics....

Where they ask

Are you the primary shopper? Are you the financial person? Do you go to movies? Etc. Sometimes I just clear them all and leave the shopping then I get one. It is weird. Not a guarantee, just sometimes seems to work. I usually never check the financial ones, they are a p.i.a. to take, and are usually sooooo long. You can also have someone else in your house or friend take it, using their demographics, or try a different email address. As long as you don't give false info or take the same survey twice for credit.
