Fixing it so that it doesn't stop every 30 seconds? LOL Last two times I went on we kept getting stuck and had to sit there waiting for the ride to start up again.

It may have been stopping to allow handicapped riders to load.

I'm so bummed that it's being refurbished when we're there but oh well I think Buzz Lightyear needs a refurb. Here's what I think they'll probably work on:

Painting. A lot of the paint is chipped off and it doesn't look so great.(especially compared to DL's new Buzz Lightyear cars)

Fixing the lasers. Mine wouldn't work properly and a couple of the others didn't either.

Fixing the cars or whatever they're called. When I was there in October, a couple of them weren't being used and were covered up.

It's actually also closed from January 4-31, so they'll have plenty of time to fix it up.

When I first saw your post, though, I have to say I got a little excited, thinking maybe something had changed. My kids are so disappointed that they'll be missing out on this ride during out trip in January.

That can't be fixed and has nothing to do with the ride. Those stops were to allow handicap people on the ride. Most times if a ride stops and you begin moving again without having to be evacuated it had nothing to do with the ride itself. A good rule of thumb is that if you don't need to be evacuated it was most likely the loading of a handicap person or a guest having droped something onto a sensor.

I don't know but I hope not. I actually found it more difficult to aim at the targets with the laserguns at Disneyland. I couldn't aim at anything and got awful scores. I got so frustrated and wanted my perfect score back! I was so tempted to just throw that lasergun at Zurg. But I did like how the lasergun would light up when you hit a target.

Ooo, I hope that they do repaint it. It was sad looking when I was there way back in May.
