Sorry if this has been discussed before, but we just got our new planer in the mall and it had the new Art of Disney Vacation club in it.

What do others think of it.

I think it is nice, but would of been much more helpful to me if the dates actually had the days of the weeks somehow on them. (more like a normal calender.)

What are others impressions on this?

Still it was a nice surpize in the mail, lovely to have. :teeth:

I just opened it, and thought the same, but they were trying to make it good for any year, so the days of the week were not possible.

I will tape a multi year calendar page on the inside cover and use it to record our trips for many years to come!

It was a nice surprise to receive it with the planners and Im glad they thought to share with all members that could not make the cruise.

Sorry to say, mine went right in the recycle bin. I had no use for it. Might have used it in a normal calendar format.

I hadn't thought about that, you can use it for any year. I guess it was a good idea, print a lot and keep giving them out to new members too, not mater what year.

I just always want to know things like what day does Christmas fall on that year, what the dates for the 1s week of March will be (DH spring break) That kind of thing.

Still it was a nice surprize. :cheer2:

I received one as a gift on the SSMC05 and I plan on using it to list all of our DVC vacations throughout the years - kind of like a journal. I think it will make a nice keepsake for DS to remember all of our trips over the years. Annmarie

It's nice but would have been much more useful for us if it had been a regular 2006 wall calendar. We always have a Disney calendar hanging in our office and I have yet to purchase a 2006 one as I thought one was with our vacation planner. However, after leafing through the Art of Disney today, I've decided that the artwork will be excellent in a future scrapbook and will use the pictures that way.

I jotted down all of the anniversaries, birthdays and special days of my friends and family. I can use it for years and years! My previous book with this information is from many years ago. Maybe people use computers or electronic things to remember these things, but I keep mine on my desk at home.

I think that it was a waste of money....trashed it!

I thought the same thing, it would be more useful with the days of the week. I like the list of DVC dates in the back of the book.

I thought at first that I would have preferred a normal calendar but after looking at it again, I realized that I like it because it wasn't a normal calendar. I can reuse it for many years instead of just one year. It'll be great to have a place to record lots of important dates. I always have to look up some dates to put them on a normal calendar every year.
So I like it!

love this idea. Thanks! :)

I thought it was very nice and I think that I will get great use out of it. I generally like the little things that we receive from DVC as well as DCL. When I see them they always spur nice memories.

I liked the idea of keeping a list of birthday's and anniversarys. If anyone doesn't want theirs I would really appreciate it! It would be nice to keep one for work and one for personal.

I was thinking the same thing when people said they trashed it.

If anything my Kid would love it.

My DH joked about selling it on ebay. (buyers for everything!)

Oh no now that you have read all these great ideas you might want to dig it out. :rotfl2:

I think it was a waste of money, as I am used to a regular calender, but the jester was nice enough..
