bought 3/29/11, 150 SSR points for $63/point.
I don't remember all the dates but I'll give rough estimates.I have 4 contracts:
1) 05/09/1992 230 points $51 pp
2) 04/21/1993 40 points $56 pp
3) 10/22/1993 40 points $57.50 pp
4) 06/14/1996 35 points $62.75 pp
$18,466.25/345 points = $53.53 average per point.
Memories = Priceless
I didn't even think of closing costs, because way back when I purchased direct, the closing costs were paid by DVD. We did get a really nice purchase incentive of free park passes until 2000,it was discontinued prior to June 1996.Personally I don't think that the purchase price per point is overly useful as a comparison. It doesn't include closing costs, MF paid, was there banked points or was the contract stripped, those can all make a big difference to what that real costs look like.
So I'll be a little different and also state my costs as Total Costs per Total Points Purchased. Total Costs includes everything I paid including, MF, closing costs, admin fees etc. Total Points Purchased are the number of points remaining on the contract till it expires after I got it.

- 200 SSR - 2011 Aug - $1.41/point, paid $60/point

- 200 SSR - 2012 July - $1.21/point, paid $50/point
- 270 BWV - 2012 July - $1.84/point, paid $54/point

- 400 BLT - 2018 Dec - $3.02/point, paid $125/point
My costs were all inclusive on closing but did not include any adjustments for short term points accounting, all of my contracts were fairly middle of the road other than my BWV one where I got full points a few months after we closed but I did not reimburse any dues) which the broker felt was the reason it passed at "under" the then accepted floor for ROFR. To the point where a different broker from a different company took it upon themselves to actually call DVC and inquire as to why it passed.Personally I don't think that the purchase price per point is overly useful as a comparison.
