So, what color blinds for bathroom windows?

I currently have white aluminum miniblinds in our master bathroom. The cord broke on one of the windows and now I need to replace them. I want to get top down/bottom up blinds-or more accurately cellular shades. I can't decide what color to go with. I don't really care for the white so I will either go with an off white or a "color". The trim is oak and they have a light brown color that is similar to oak so it would "blend". The walls are a light tan so I could go with something to match the wall color but chances are we will repaint in there sometime in the next couple years. So, does anyone have "oak colored" shades and if so, how do you like them. Any other thoughts or suggestions?

I have cellular shades all over my home..in a few different colors. I love my off white ones. they allow the light to filter through but keep the heat/cold in/out during the season...and they just look nice.....better on the window than in the package

Do you know what color scheme you want to make when you make the change? You could always coordinate with your future plans. I would go with color simply because you can't really make it appear to blend into the window... and why would you want to? So you might as well use it to add a bit of accent.

Of course you could do what my friends did - they had an artist friend of ours paint a mural onto their white blinds so that when the blinds were closed and down it was a pretty peice of art to look at.

We have oak blinds at our bathroom window and they do look fabulous. They look particularly good as we have an oak wood floor and they really compliment each other. So i would highly recommend them as a lovely color for bathroom blinds and because it is a relatively natural and netral colour it will look good with many different color schemes.

This is an older post but I did finally get some new blinds. I ended up with top down/bottom up cellular shades in "Hazelnut" which is a light tan that matches our wall color.

How do you like cellulars for cleaning, particularly in the bathroom? Seems like especially in the bathroom the humidity makes it impossible to simply dust them off.

I have only had them up for 2 weeks so I don't really know. The ones I have in my kitchen vacuum just fine. Opening and closing them seems to remove a lot of the dust too.
