I guess I'm on some people's pet peeve list lol. They are comfortable and since they are black/grey, they match any tops I bring (except for nice ones), and they aren't ridiculously hot in the Florida heat. BUT I do make sure they are not see through (Victoria must have her Secret kept, lol!)... they have to pass a series of tests before I wear them in public!

I included that one for DW. I'm not sure why it gets her the way it does...I guess that's what makes it a pet peeve

My pet peeve is people grumbling about the most recent presidents while letting Andrew Jackson get a free pass.

Unfortunately not one American adult in 5 could tell you what there would be to grumble about Ole' Hickory, or even that he was called that.

These are just great! I am seeing a lot of synergy surrounding the whole bus thing, so let me just quickly clear something up:

• The whole Southern talk was just me trying to be colorful. Even though I live in the Atlanta area (and has been for 25 years, I'm originally from the Midwest and I've been giving up my seats for ladies since I was a child.)
  
• The womens lib comment was a joke because I've had to deal with venom from women who looks insulted when I offer my seat. (But I've also had issues with ladies who doesn't like to be called "ma'am." But I address children as "ma'am" and "sir" because I feel that everyone needs to be respected. But some ladies feels like I'm calling them old.)

OK, now that I cleared that up (hopefully), I have another one: I have a pet peeve of those vacationers at Disney that "Takes the Bull by the Horns." You know the ones- they're the ones that would walk back behind the wall to find out why the line is taking too long and is appalled that the CMs are taking a break while there's a line. Or that person that constantly challenges and tries to start rebellions if the ride is temporarily out of service. Or that person who looks to press CMs to give them something out of the 'inconvenience' of waiting or WDW not having something specific. Or, those people who threaten to sue everybody because they had to be neutralized by their own aggressive behavior.

That kind of stuff works well in boardrooms and business settings, but you are on vacation. Chill! You may have paid a pretty penny to be there, but so did EVERYONE ELSE! You may be special (and you are!), but your specialness doesn't trump everyone else. Everyone there is special. Everyone paid a lof of money to get there. But that doesn't mean that you are entitled to a good time.

YOU make your vacation fun- not Disney, the Comcast corporation, Six Flags Entertainment or anyone else! If you aren't having fun, look internally and check your expectations and attitude.

My pet peeve are the ipad users who think it works best as a video camera or regular camera for that matter. I do not want to watch any night time spectacular or parade through your screen.

And speaking of night time spectacular - if the show is going on and you are tall - don't mosey on over and stand in front of someone who might be short or a even a child. Just because the production is in the sky doesn't mean you aren't blocking the view of the person who has been standing in that spot since an hour before the parade. Be considerate of your height.


Pet Peeves of others that don't bother me - If you are in line with family/friends/kids and someone has to go to the bathroom. By all means, that person should be able to use the restroom and then meet up back with you in line. We know how long a wait in line can be, said family shouldn't have to all get out and then go back and stand again. That's not fair (or healthy) to the child to have to 'hold it'.

I am sure that my pet peeve at Disney is a common one. Disney-goers probably have a lot more in common than first timers. I absolutely DO NOT like it when really tall fathers put their children on their shouldrs for Celebrate the Magic and Wishes! I understand the difficulty of seeing everything, I am a whopping 5'2"! But how inconsiderate can you be? There are pleanty of people who want to enjoy as well!

I guess the videotaping of rides and shows bothers me more than other people. I understand wanting to film your own family doing stuff. But there are already a million ride videos on You Tube and there are You Tube videos of every show. Why does everyone need to film their own? Maybe just be in the moment and enjoy the experience?

I took video of most of FoF parade last trip because i wanted to have it saved on my phone so I could bribe my youngest with it at restaurants/dr's offices, etc, and I didn't want to use up my data allotment streaming it off youtube every time.

I'm not trying to single you out, as others have voiced the same grievance, but trust me, nobody wants my party of 6, sometimes 7, with three 250+lb adults, two children, and trays of food all trying to move as a cohesive unit through the tightly packed tables at CS. No good thing would come of this. With a party that big, we usually finally find a table and round up enough chairs just in time for the trays to arrive.

On the rare occassion our party is small, we get our food and then look for a table.

I'll say it again...I thought Disney prohibits holding seats before you have your food...apparently, not everyone is kidding about this.

Sometimes Disney won't allow people to get tables before they have food. They put signs up, and they station a CM at the entrance to the seating area. It isn't all of the time, but when they feel they are busy enough to warrant it.

Whilst travelling on a bus from Typhoon Lagoon back to Beach Club, a lady had got on the bus with her husband at DTD. The lady was trying to get to Epcot and wanted to know how to get there through IG.

We got talking about our vacations, they were staying at the Swan or Dolphin, I forget which, we were talking about what we had been doing so far and she says "we had a lovely day at Disney World yesterday"

I explained to her that we were currently in Disney World and that DTD was also part of Disney, as too was Epcot. She seemed genuinely surprised!

Not that it bothered me in the slightest, it's amazing how many people spend a fortune on a vacation and do no research whatsoever.

One I have seen that gripes me...When the group behind you turns every ride into a learning opportunity. For example, It's a small world is beloved by some, hated by others and put up with for the sake of someone in your party. I fall into group #3, the last time we were on this ride, the mother decided it was her opportunity to host geography jeopardy with her kid. ? after ? after ?, kid was trying to enjoy the ride, but Mom was on it. Our party actually had to ride again so #1 in our group could get their fix, causing #2 and #3 to want to poke each other in the eyes.

I get that there are lots of learning opportunities for kids and families but please remember that not everyone wants to be part of your lesson.

Yes!!!! I see this everywhere (not just Disney) & it really bugs me. I'm all for teaching kids wherever & whenever you can but I really hate when some moms (& dads at times) feel the need to do so in an overly loud way so everyone around them can either a) see what a wondeful mother they are or b) see how smart their kid is. i really think it's mostly (a). I'm the mom of 3 young children & I see it all the time. Plus for me Disney is all about the fun. Yes, we learn some things along the way but that's just a bonus...I'm not going to force it.

Totally not lol! But this is a thread about what bothers you at Disney and why not share what bothers me since everyone else is sharing? I'm Disney obsessed but that doesn't mean there aren't little annoyances

Main thing that bothers me that evidently doesn't most folks since 99% of the people I encounter seem to be that way - people who have no sense of urgency, particularly in a FPP line. Much of the time if you get to the "joining" point sooner they'll merge FPP people ahead there. But folks wander, take pics (Star Tours especially), stop and tie shoes, eat a snack. I can't figure out why they use FPP if they're going to do all this!

Things that don't bother me - people holding a spot for parades or character lines. Someone mentioned sending dad ahead to get in a line for a character (outside at Epcot) then mom and kiddo joining on another group and you'd think this was a major no-no. I don't have little ones any more so certainly wouldn't do this with my college kids but I don't have any problem with people joining a character line or slipping a young one in front for a parade as long as someone was there in the first place.

We walk past people like that. You stop you lose your place.

It bothers me when I see someone bring a brand new newborn, that seems to be less than a month old. I just keep thinking why??? And second as an OB nurse I am thinking this place is way to germy for a newborn! None of this effects me but yet it still bothers me?

No more germy than any place else we visit. My doctor nor theirs had an issue.

(Yes, I have taken more than one really young.)

Nope, not kidding, and not ashamed. Some CS have CMs directing the flow, most do not, nor have I ever seen any signs.

I find it more irritating that entire parties are up at the counters taking up space where so many people are waiting for their food and trying to carry away trays.

I've travelled with a big group and I know how hard it is. Saving tables means that you hold a table for longer and it takes longer for tables to "turn over". It's not a big deal when it's not busy. When it's busy, however, people end up wandering around with their food looking for a place to eat because so many people have saved tables and their food gets cold. Some CS restaurants will block off the seating areas and only allow people with food to sit. I like that. I was bummed one time when they blocked off the outside seating of Cosmic Ray's for people with food and let people save seats around Sunny Eclipse. We love Sunny and about 1/3rd of the tables were full of people who were seated and waiting for their meals to arrive. We took a couple of spins around but be had to eat outside because those were the only seats that were available and only because they were saved for folks with food.
